    Transfer game to another account so we can use both Xbox consoles?


    I have purchased games for my 2 sons under my one account. Now we have 2 XBox consoles and they cannot play the games simultaneously because they are under one account. One has made a bunch of progress in his NBA game that he doesn't want to give up. Another
    has made a bunch of progress in Minecraft that he doesn't want to give up.

    How do we solve this? Can I transfer my ownership of one of my games to an account for one of my sons?

    I honestly wouldn't have purchased the 2nd Xbox if I knew we weren't going to be able to play at the same time.

    If I transfer both of my accounts to a new Xbox and I use the license transfer to put the dlc on my new one will my other account get it?

    Hello,

    I currently have my account logged in and we have used that email for all the game purchases and everything. But my son is old enough now that he can just use his , but I do not know how to transfer everything over to his account and stop using mine. I use
    my account for personal use, and do not want it linked anymore. Is there any way at all to transfer to another account on the xbox and transfer over the game data?

    Hi there,

    To add to Smwutches response - I would also recommend making sure each son has their own account moving forward (if you haven't done so already).

    Since an account can only be signed into one console at a time, with each having their own account, they can each be signed into a different console at the same time to play games. If one (Account B) is playing on your account's (Account A) home console
    (Console A), your account (Account A) will need to be logged into the other console (Console B) so the other (Account C) can play the games on it.

    Hi there,

    To add to Smwutches response - I would also recommend making sure each son has their own account moving forward (if you haven't done so already).

    Since an account can only be signed into one console at a time, with each having their own account, they can each be signed into a different console at the same time to play games. If one (Account B) is playing on your account's (Account A) home console
    (Console A), your account (Account A) will need to be logged into the other console (Console B) so the other (Account C) can play the games on it.

    As the game was purchased from another retailer, we can't do a refund. I'm afraid there's nothing we can do to transfer it to your son, no assets are transferable between accounts

    What you can do is have your husband and your son make the same system their home Xbox, and then games on both accounts will be shared

    Hi,

    You can't merge or transfer any items from an account to another, and i didn't get the other question as using both accounts at the same time is possible on the same console when a kid is logged to an account and another kid is logged to the other account.

    Any account on the console must have set it to My home Xbox so you can share both game libraries.

    nothing can be transferred to another account but if both accounts are on the same console then both accounts should be able to use the content with the exception of Avatar items.
