Transfer DLC for backwards compatible games.

Hello, I have 2 games with all the DLC that I would like to transfer to my Xbox one. Borderlands and Fallout 3. I know how to transfer save files and I've already installed borderlands but when I play it says the DLC is available for purchase. I attempted
to transfer it via cloud and the option to copy it the cloud never even showed up. Any ideas?

Hey there RedDawn! If you're not seeing the DLC listed under the game's "Ready to Install" that would indicate that the content may have been purchased using a different Xbox Live account. Do you have any other Xbox Live profiles on your Xbox 360 that may
have purchased the DLC for the game?

Borderlands has the DLC baked in to the best of my knowledge, however Fallout doesn't.

The best way to do it is to highlight the title in my games and apps, hit menu and then manage game. Then simply install the DLC as you would on an Xbox One title.

 

Would it make a difference if the DLC originally came from the collectors edition disk that I no longer have?

 

Yes. You can't transfer that over, as you don't technically own it anymore.

You'd need to own the content digitally, or be able to put the disc in your XB1
