Discus and support transfer content from old console to new xbox360 in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Where do I get hard drive transfer kit from?     Where do I get hard drive transfer kit from? The cable I bought says it isn't supported by the device? Help, please.

    Problems transferring my Xbox live items to new account!

    The license transfer tool transfers the licenses of your content from your old console to your new console. Like AdyCarter said, it does not transfer content between accounts.

    I have a new xbox360 and want to transfer all my downloaded games and content onto my new xbox and hard drive. How do I do that without my old hard drive or console because I sold em.

    The cables are readily available on Amazon and other reputable game stores. Make sure you get an official one made by Microsoft and works with your specific model - there have been problems reported with some 3rd party cables. You can typically get a new
    one for around $20.

    I figured out what happened. all my content was transferred from another xbox360 console that died. Not sure why it would still let my profile play it or just give some sort of warning, but here is what I had to do.

    Step 1 - Transfer the content license from my old console to my new console by following these steps:

    support.xbox.com/.../download-content

    Step 2 - Redownload ALL my games, addons, etc. (like 100GB for me, thx MSFT) . The easiest way to do this is to follow these instructions:
