Transfer Cable from Xbox 360 arcade (white DVD) to Xbox 360 E

Any reports if an old transfer cable can get bad over time?

Im really paranoid to lose all my things from the hard drive. Its 80gb of important stuff.

Not that I am aware of. You should be able to transfer your content with no issues.

The only thing you have to worry about is plugging in and unplugging a hard drive from the body too many times as it will spread the contacts out over time. But that takes a lot of inserting and removing to do that, so you should be good for a long time.
I have not heard of any manufacturing issues with the transfer cables, the old ones, nor the new ones. So you're good to go.

no the older clip on the outside hard drives on the white 360s and the later elites are NOT compatible with the slim models. only a 250 or 320 gig drive that goes INSIDE the 360 slim will work sorry. but you CAN transfer the data from that drive to the
other 360 once you have the hard drive in there. you just need to get a data transfer cable like this one:

Your best bet would be to buy an adapter versus trying to modify the cables, but it depends on what console you have as to what options, if any, you will need to take. If you have an Xbox 360 original console or Xbox 360 S console you can look into buy
