Transfer bought content

Hey guys!

My dad wanted to buy me a map pack for Black Ops 1 – the one containing the zombie maps (Shi No Numa, Moon etc). Unfortunately he bought it with his personal xbox live account, not mine as planned.

We haven't played the game since or did anything at all with Black Ops, is there a possibility to transfer the purchased content from his account to mine?

Can't play offline

I'm guessing you bought this on another console and you need to do a license transfer.

Hey KROOKS671,

Unfortunately at this time it isnt possible to transfer any Content bought with one Account to another. So you cant transfer the game he bought with his Account to yours.

Hello! There is not a way to transfer it to your account, but if he calls Xbox Support and gets a refund, then you can purchase on your account instead. That would probably be the easiest way to do things if he isn't planning on using the DLC.

All content you buy at Xbox Live is associated to your Xbox Live account. This content cannot be transfered to other accounts, unfortunatelly.

Judge

You need to be on the GamerTag that bought the content as well as the console that bought the content. If you are not, then you need to transfer your licenses.

Hi there,

in order to play DLC/Games bought by other accounts then the buyer account the Licenses of that content needs to be present on the console itself. When the license is on the console any other account should be able to use that content.

When a new console is bought, the thing you will need to do is to transfer the licenses to that new console, this has to be done by each account that bought any content you want to be used by other accounts on that console.

Be aware that licenses can only be transferred once every 3 months and you will need to redownload the content after the licenses are transferred.

You don't have to delete the content prior to redownloading it and redownloading it can be done via the Download history for the account that initially bought the content.

@critter204 -- Unfortunately if you already performed a license transfer in the past 4 months and bought the content on another console you will have to wait until you can perform a license transfer again to use the content offline. This is done to prevent
unauthorized transferring of Game Store content.
