Transfer a purchased app from an account to another

Hi everyone,

Tricky situation here.

The issue is on PC on Windows 10. The setup of this situation is that I had my Microsoft Store connected on a brand new account with nothing on it, just the default Microsoft one I did one day. And the Xbox Companion app connected on my super old, full of
trophies, etc. Xbox account where I have all I want to keep and progress on.

So, on the Microsoft Store, I unfortunately bought Sea of Thieves on this new account. But when launching the game and playing online with a friend by invite, I never realized that I was playing on the old account, the one linked with the Xbox Companion
app. So yeah, first weirdery, Microsoft let you play a game purchased on one account with another account...

So the issue is : I want, now that I cleaned up a lot of stuff on my accounts, ditched the old trash mail boxes, etc. and have a new PC, to only use my old and cherished account to play the game. So I'd like to transfer the official purchase of the game
from one account to the other. Then I can connect all apps of the PC to one single account and keep playing from what I left. The worst situation would be to transfer the data of Sea of Thieves to the new empty account, but then I loose a lot more data from
all I've purchased from the old account, just for Sea of Thieves...

You could say "why don't you keep doing your weird stuff by logging on Microsoft Store to launch the game on one account, connect the Xbox App to the other account, and keep playing where you stopped?" but I want to clean up that new useless account, and
I also bought the Anniversary Edition of SoT, and the game connected through the Xbox App can't redeem extra content in the game bought with the other account...

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have a question on game transfer. Unfortunately, this is not possible to transfer a game from one account to another. You would need to repurchase the game on the account you want it on unfortunately.

What exactly do you mean by "transferring a license to the account JK THE KILLER"? The license transfer too transfers the licenses from one console to another. Nothing is transferred between accounts. If the expansion was purchased on another account
it might not be possible to play without purchasing on your account.
