hello guys i would like to know how to transfer all my info from my original xbox one to a new one i just bought. becuase im planing on selling the old one.

new hard drive

I recently bought a new hard drive and a transfer cable. I hooked them up to my console and tranferred the data from my old hard drive to the new one. but when I hooked up the new hard drive whare my old one was, my console didnt recognize it as a normal
hard drive and the only way I can use it is when it is connected to the tranfer cable.

Your profile and your purchases are tied to your Microsoft account and stored in the cloud. Basically, you would uninstall your content from the original one and when you run the setup on the new one, it will pull your profile over using your Microsoft account.
Then you would need to reinstall your purchases (games, apps, etc.).

If you mean how do you transfer games between the two, easiest way without re-downloading is to get an external HDD and copy your games to it, then plug it in to your second console.

As Zcythe said, everything else is tied to your profile so you just log in to your new console and away you go. Don't forget to set it as your HOME console when you get on the new console as well as deleting your profile from the console you sell.

By transfarring save games from one console to another is not illegal. You may need to do this when for exampe you bought a new console and want to tranfer all items, SAVE GAMES, demos, avater items and of course your account. Your brother has tranferred
the save game and he has unlocked an achievement for that. There's no need to panic, because like you said ---importing a save game--- (transfer a save game may be more specific) is not illegal. Unfortunatly, the achievement has been unlocked by completing
that challenge and is stored on the online servers and there is no legal way to lock or remove that achievement once you have it unlocked. Once it has been unlocked, the points will pop-up by your total gamerscore and the achievement can be reviewed by your
games, but is it not illegal to tranfer save games from one console to the other.
