    Hi, i'm about to trade in my XBOX 360 for an XBOX ONE, and I am going to reset my system to factory defaults before I do that so no one can log into my profile, will it delete my XBOX LIVE profile?

    Hey there About Buckets [Trading in XBOX 360 for XBOX ONE, will resetting my system to factory defaults delete my XBOX ... :)

    It will delete all the content off your console but it will not close down your account. You simply just have to download your profile (using the email and password associated with your account) onto your Xbox One. If you choose to repurchase an Xbox 360
    in the future, you can also download your profile onto that and redownload any games or content you have purchased in the past via your download history.

    Selling Xbox one, removing profile, games still there?

    If you do a factory reset on the Xbox One your profile will be deleted from the harddrive as well as your downloaded and installed games. The games could not be used by a new profile or a new user/owner anyway because the games are bounded to your gamertag.
    So for the Xbox One a factory reset would be best.

    Here's how to:

    On the Xbox 360 it's different. Here the games, only the downloaded ones of course, are bound to the console. So a new user / owner could use them with his gamertag. So on the 360 I would suggest to only delete your profile before selling it but keep the
    downloaded games on the drive.
