Trade races to unlock car mods

What I'm saying is, I have a muscle car that I wanted to upgrade and it required me to do three more races with it to unlock an engine. Well I did win three races +, but not with muscle cars. Pretty much everything but muscle cars. Then I went to the mod
shop looked at the engines, and not only was the one I was going for unlocked but even the next one, yet I didn't race any muscle cars.

I guess what I was confused on was the fact that the mod shop states I have to win X amount with said type of car, yet I unlocked them using, say, the sports cars and super cars. The wording makes it sound like I have to win 50 races with each type of car
to get the upgrades for the respected type.

I guess you dont do many races then.

Money wins races. Exploiting the system for cash, then taking a buddy and trading races wins to unlock the mods means you have the best superior car in a race. And it takes even more time for those that play legit to win races to unlock those mods, because
exploiters are dominating the races...

It takes about 1.5 million (more or less depending on the car) to get a Super class car to top modification specs. Even with Rockstar giving a half a mil to all players , is really nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I've unlocked all the mods for my cars now so I hardly race anymore. Missions and Survivals are my thing.

Just resurrecting this thread again By the way, if anyone would like to trade some racing wins, that would be cool. I'm not really keen on racing, but for some odd reason, Rockstar has tied ending unlocks to racing wins. I just want an effective getaway

Honestly I couldn't care less about players unlocking mods in private lobbies and I agree with you that races in GTA are boring. I can think of nothing more boring then grinding unlocks by trading wins.
