    Trade digital download for physical copy?


    I got an Xbox One for Christmas that came with Dance Central Spotlight, Assassin's Creed: Unity, and Assassin's Creed: Black Flag, all digital downloads. I live in a rural area and don't have access to unlimited data (unbelievable that a place exists in
    America in this day and time). I have a limit of 40gigs of data. One of the Assassin's creed games is 39gigs and the other is 23. Is there any way I can trade them in for physical copy?

    I asked this question of an Xbox support person in an online chat and he told me that I could take it to any retailer and they would swap. He was very confident of this. However, the people at Gamestop looked at me like I was from Mars when I told them
    about this. Is there any way to get a physical copy?

    Disks!

    Digital makes sense for games you will keep/buy on release.....but when they try to charge $40 for a digital version of a two year old game, it doesn't make sense. Used discs promotes playing games/genera's that people normally wouldn't play. A physical
    disc with trade in value > a file download.

    Digital downloads are a flop.

    Imagine how much better off things would be if Microsoft stood behind the all Digital plan they wanted....(digital marketplace for trade-ins, downloads, etc). People didn't want change and Gamestop continues to dominate. I know a lot of rural areas
    would have bandwith issues, but hey when was the last time you bought a physical music CD? Digital is the future my friends and although it cost more now (no preorder bonuses, no trade in value, etc) I have gone all digital this cycle with the XBOX One.

    No, that is not possible. There is no way to trade for a physical copy. You could always take your xbox to someone's home with faster/no cap internet and download there.

    There is no program to trade in physical games to digital copies at the moment.

    Noble,, If you bought the physical copy, and want to trade up to the digital, you will have to sell the disc copy, then go in the store, and buy the digital version.. There is no way I know of that you can just trade one for the other..

    How could you possibly trade in digital copies? They never degrade at all unlike physical copies of the games. you could easily trade in the same game a thousand times and it would still be just like it was day one. Oh well, it's not gonna affect my life
    as I'm sticking with physical copies and trading them in instead. I support GameStop!
