Tracing Xbox purchases

if your son has his own Xbox account then any purchases he makes will show in his order history, not in yours.

if your son's account is a child account you can set up parental controls so he has to get a parent to confirm purchases

Like you guessed the transactions might be done through an another Microsoft account.

Your Bank statement will reveal the Purchase done with Value and Merchant details which in this case is Microsoft.

After receiving the statement you can cross verify the purchases done through your kids Xbox.

Goto My Games and Apps-Slect Game Tab which usually is first by Default.

Check Installed list.If unavailable goto Ready to Install and use Filter Sort by How recent.

Kind request:

Don't be hard on the kid if found guilty

you can contact Xbox Support and they can check with your CC info and they can find the purchases.
