TP-Link (Routers) TL-WR1043ND: Cannot connect my xbox 360 to the internet
    Hi Kevin,

Thanks for reaching out to us. It appears you have done some major troubleshooting but are still getting a DNS server error when trying to connect to Xbox Live. I recommend that you use our

solution for getting an error message when testing the Xbox Live connection on a 360
. Based on what you have tried so far, you may need to set up a manual DNS setting to get you back in the game. You'll need a computer that is on the same network that you
plan to connect your console to in order to get the proper DNS server numbers.

    1. On your computer, click Start, type
cmd in the search bar at the bottom of your start menu, and then press ENTER.
    2. At the prompt, type ipconfig /all, and then press ENTER.
    3. Find a line that begins with DNS Servers.
    4. Write down the DNS server numbers.

Once you have the DNS server numbers, you'll need to enter that onto your console.

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select
      System Settings.
    2. Select Network Settings.
    3. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network.
    4. Select Configure Network.
    5. On the Basic Settings tab, select DNS Settings.
    6. Select Manual.
    7. Select Primary DNS Server.
    8. Enter the first number you wrote down, and then select Done.
    9. Select Secondary DNS Server.
    10. Enter the second number you wrote down, and then select Done.
    11. Select Done again.
    12. Press the B button on your controller and then select
      Test Xbox Live Connection.

Your console should connect to Xbox Live if this worked. If it does not, then I recommend checking out the wizard for possible other solutions that may be available or you can always
Request a Callback from Xbox Support for assistance.

It's going to ask if you want help from the virtual agent select
no thanks, pick the category(Games)and just pick a contact method
(request a call from support or Chat is faster).

I hope this helps a bit more.

    :)

    Hello!

It sounds like there's either something wrong with the configuration of your router or the router itself.

I don't recognize those DNS IP addresses, guessing they are from your ISP. Try setting the DNS to Manual and using 2 of these 3 (first two are from Google):

    8.8.8.8

    8.8.4.4

    1.1.1.1

I don't know if 1.1.1.1 will work everywhere as it's new and relies on CloudFlare servers IIRC.
