    Login Information:

    Default Gateway – 192.168.1.1

    How to Find SSID (Network Name)



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface setup from the tabs across.
    4. Select Wireless from the resulting submenu.
    5. The wireless network name is located next to SSID in the WPS Settings section.


    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface setup from the tabs across.
    4. Select Wireless from the resulting submenu.
    5. The wireless passphrase will be located in the pre-shared key space.


    Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface setup from the tabs across.
    4. Select Wireless from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select Disabled from the Authentication Type drop down menu.
    6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.


    MAC Filtering



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface setup from the tabs across.
    4. Select Wireless from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select Deactivated from the Wireless MAC Address Filter section.
    6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.


    Change Wireless Mode



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface setup from the tabs across.
    4. Select Wireless from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select 802.11g from the Wireless Mode drop down.
    6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.


    Change Wireless Channel



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface setup from the tabs across.
    4. Select Wireless from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select the desired wireless channel from the channel drop down. (1,3,9,11)
    6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.


    DHCP Reservation



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select LAN from the resulting submenu.
    5. In the DHCP Table section select the desired IP Address from the IP Address drop down menu.
    6. Enter the MAC Address of your console in the MAC Address field.
    7. Select Static from the Status drop down.
    8. Click Save at the bottom of the page.


    UPnP



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Access Management from the menu at the top.
    4. Select UPnP from the resulting submenu.
    5. Toggle both UPnP and Auto-config to Activated or Deactivated depending on need.
    6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.


    DMZ



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Advanced Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select NAT from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select DMZ.
    6. Set the DMZ to Enabled and then enter the IP Address of your Xbox console.
    7. Click the SAVE button found at the bottom of the screen.


    Disable DMZ



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Advanced Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select NAT from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select DMZ.
    6. Set the DMZ to Disabled.
    7. Click the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen.


    Port Forwarding



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Advanced Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select NAT from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select Virtual Server.
    6. Set the Rule Index to a value of 1 through 10.
    7. Set Application to other or user defined.
    8. Set Protocol to ALL.
    9. Enter 3074 for the Start Port Number and the End Port Number.
    10. Enter the IP Address of your Xbox Console in the Local IP Address field.
    11. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.


    Disable Port Forwarding



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Advanced Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select NAT from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select Virtual Server.
    6. Enter the Index of the entry you want to delete and click Delete.
    7. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.


    Firewall



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Advanced Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select Firewall from the resulting submenu.
    5. Set both Firewall and SPI to disabled.
    6. Click the Save button.


    Restoring Factory Defaults

    Through Firmware



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Maintenance from the menu at the top.
    4. Select SysRestart from the resulting submenu.
    5. Select Factory Default Settings.
    6. Click the RESTART button.


    Through Hardware



    1. Locate the reset button on the back of the device.
    2. Using a pin or similar small object press and hold the reset button for a minimum of 5 seconds.


    How to Find Firmware Version



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Maintenance from the menu at the top.
    4. Select Firmware from the resulting submenu.
    5. The current firmware version is listed next to Current Firmware Version.


    Firmware Update



    1. Locate an updated firmware file either from your Internet Service Provider or from
      TP-Link France - Equipements réseau Wi-Fi pour particuliers et professionnels
    2. Download the new firmware to your computer.
    3. Connect your computer to the router via an Ethernet cable.
    4. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    5. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    6. Select Maintenance from the menu at the top.
    7. Select Firmware from the resulting submenu.
    8. Click the Browse button and locate the file you saved on your computer.
    9. Click the UPGRADE button at the bottom of the screen.
    10. Wait for the update to complete. Your device may restart several times.






    Bridging Guide



    1. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 into the address and press enter.
    2. Enter “admin” for both the username and password when prompted.
    3. Select Interface Setup from the menu at the top.
    4. Select Internet from the resulting submenu.
    5. In the Encapsulation section Choose Bridge Mode.
    6. Click the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen.


    Multiple Console Support



    We have no confirmed cases where multiple consoles were able to obtain an Open NAT state while using this device. Please comment on this page if you have been able obtain Open NAT on two or more consoles using this device.

    How to Find SSID (Network Name)

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    4. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    5. Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
    6. Select Basic from the submenu.
    7. The Network Name (SSID) will be displayed next to SSID. The network name can be changed in this space.
    8. Click the Apply/Save button at the bottom of the page if any changes were made.




    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    4. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    5. Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
    6. Select Security from the submenu.
    7. The Wireless Passphrase will be displayed next to WPA Pre-Shared Key. You may need to click the Click here to display link.




    Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security

    7. The Wireless Security can be disabled by selecting “Open” from the Network Authentication drop down.
    8. Click the Apply/Save button at the bottom of the page.




    MAC Filtering

    3. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    4. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".

    6. Select MAC Filter from the sub-menu.
    7. Select Disabled from the MAC Restrict Mode.




    Changing Wireless Channel

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
    5. Select Advanced from the submenu.
    6. From the drop down menu labeled Channel ID select the desired Channel. (Channels 1,3,9,11)
    7. Select the Apply/Save button.




    Changing Wireless Mode

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
    5. Select Advanced from the submenu.
    6. Select 54g Performance in the Mode dropdown.
    7. Select the Apply/Save button.




    Change Wireless Band (width)

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Wireless from the menu on the left.
    5. Select Advanced from the submenu.
    6. Select the 20MHz option from the bandwidth dropdown box.
    7. Select the Apply/Save button.




    DHCP Reservation

    1. Open a web browser.

    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select LAN from the submenu.
    6. Click the Add Entries button.
    7. Type the consoles MAC address and desired IP address.
    8. Select the Apply/Save button.




    UPnP

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select UPnP from the submenu.
    6. Check or un-check the option for UPnP.
    7. Select the Apply/Save button.




    DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select NAT from the submenu.
    6. Select DMZ Host from the next submenu.
    7. Enter the IP Address of the Xbox.
    8. Select the Apply/Save button.


    Disable DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select NAT from the submenu.
    6. Select DMZ Host from the next submenu.
    7. Clear the IP Address from the DMZ Host IP Address.
    8. Select the Apply/Save button.
    Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select NAT from the submenu.
    6. Select Virtual Servers from the next submenu.
    7. Click the Add button.
    8. Enter a custom Server name. Something like "XBL" or "Xbox Live".
    9. Enter the IP address of the console into the Server IP Address.
    10. In the four columns asking for the port number enter 3074.
    11. Set Protocol to both.
    12. Select the Apply/Save button.


    Disable Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select NAT from the submenu.
    6. Select Virtual Servers from the next submenu.
    7. Check the box next to the Xbox Live entries under the remove column.
    8. Click the Remove button at the top.
    9. Select the Apply/Save button.




    Firewall

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Advanced Setup from the menu on the left.
    5. Select WAN from the submenu.
    6. Select Add.
    7. Un-Check Enable Firewall.
    8. Be sure the PPP Username and PPP Password are still in place.
    9. Click the Next button.
    10. On the following Summary screen click the Save button.




    How to Find Firmware Version

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Device Info from the menu on the left.
    5. The Firmware Version is listed to the right of Firmware Version.




    Firmware Update

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    3. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    4. Select Management.
    5. Select Update Software.
    6. Click the browse button.
    7. Select the Firmware file you downloaded.
    8. Click the Update Software button.
    9. Wait for the device to restart.

    3. With paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
    4. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.




    Bridging Guide

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. Log into the device by entering the default gateway into the address bar of the internet browser (192.168.1.1).
    4. The device will then prompt you to enter the username and password. The default username and password are "admin" and "admin".
    5. Select Layer2 Interface from the menu on the left.
    6. Select ATM Interface from the submenu.
    7. Leave the VPI and VCI on their default values.
    8. Select EoA from DSL Link Type options.
    9. Select LLC/SNAP-BRIDGING.
    10. The rest of the options should be left to the default values.
    11. Click the Apply/Save button.




    Multiple Console Support

    We have confirmed that this network device is unable to support more than one console with an Open NAT.
