    A long while back I acquired the XBLA game "Toy Soldiers", and have recently wished to revisit it. Unfortunately, upon starting the game, it compresses my screen, goes dark, and produces this log:

    If I try to run the GFWL "Game.exe" I simply receive a message telling me "Games for Windows - Live initialization failed."

    I was hoping that you might have a fix for this, because Steam sure doesn't- most fixes involve needing my GFWL connection restored. I worry about this for more than one reason.

    The first is that I can't play a classic that I love anymore, and the second is that I just realized that I cant play AoEIII anymore either, because I don't have access to my GFWL account, only my Xbox account.

    Reinstalling Toy Soldiers does not work, nor does re-running its distributables or any of the other potential fixes on the Steam forums. Yes, I have tried every manner of permissions and compatibility mode. That is why I am here. The final step seems to
    be connect to GFWL, a discontinued service. I had honestly thought that my content would have been merged into my new Xbox for PC thing that you all have going on.

    To summarize, is this a fixable issue, and if it is not, is there any guarantee that this will not happen again if I am to reacquire these products, and perhaps more in their line? Is there a way to access these lost relics, or am I being kindly
    asked to buy them again?

    I do not await or expect a "soft" answer. I want the truth, no consideration given to how graciously uplifting or corporately abrasive it might be. Thank you for your time.
