Toxic messages from idiots

Ok, I've been here a few times in the past and had a great support from many of you and thank you for that....but it has returned AGAIN. ok so I am a heavy sufferer of mental health and if I could murder it I would....so in a past post I asked for Microsoft
to add some form of Facebook like messaging where only your friends list can message you. I was told that there is something similar to that in the settings which I found and adjusted it...BUT...Iran into alot of issues. Finding custom games etc were a big
problem so I had to set back to default....now we all know how toxic Overwatch is and if you don't play to someone's standards or pocket heal them, they seem to think it's ok to message you and harass you. I explained to this person that the team were bad
and that there was nothing o could do, but because I'm a healer it's clearly my fault in theor eyes. This person continued to harass me, told them to please stop harassing me and that I suffer with mental health and always have the respect to just back off
and leave me be...clearly they just didn't care. I know feel very depressed about this and feel I I'm going to breakdown. Microsoft really need to do more to help prevent sadly these idiot people. A differant type of block message system needs to be added
like Facebook has. Sorry to mention facebook it's the only way I can explain the clock system instead of that silly one Microsoft has in place. Just to clarify....everyone is welcome to play games whether they have mental health issues or their race or even
their reigion without harassment from idiots

I have been on Xbox for few years, and I have never received any harassment messages, maybe its the Games I play! but also sometimes we have to look into the things we do in Games too.

I am sure you can't report the messages in the Game & through Xbox

Harassment like this is rear, but it does happen and we understand that it can be very stressful. When this sort of thing happens, you really should not respond and just "Report, Block and Move on...".

I've been gaming online since the Xbox 360 and I can say I have only had this once. The message was reported, I blocked the player and I carried on gaming. That was it. Never heard from them again.

I would think from a parent stand point this would be very beneficial. Personally I don't deal with a lot of toxic messages but I could see the benefits of having this in place to avoid toxic messages.

If people would use the system that Microsoft has in place to deal with toxic players there would be less toxic players on the system.

Microsofts system is:

1. Report the toxic behavior and their reputation will go down and they will then only be able to play with other toxic players.

2. Block the person- this will prevent you them from being paired either with you or against you in future online matches.

3. Mute the person- this will prevent them from being able to message you.

4. Choose to only receive messages from people that are on your friends list this will mean that you only receive messages or party invites from people that are on your friends list.
