Touro Drive Not Displaying-Tried Two New USB Cables and Still Nothing

As the title describes, I'm having trouble with my Touro drive not showing on my Xbox One. I've had it since Christmas, and the one time I ran into this problem unplugging and replugging the drive worked fine. Hadn't thought about it agin until two days
ago when I went to play a game and none of the games displayed, only what I had on my internal drive. I did some research and found out it may be an issue with the stock cable they shipped to me, so I ordered a Cable Matters USB 3.0 cable from Amazon, which
arrived today. Still nothing. I proceeded to Best Buy to buy one of their Insignia branded cables--still nothing. At this point, I'm lost. All of my games are on the external drive, and it's a huge inconvenience to have to switch the games I want to play back
to the internal drive. And even then, won't I lose my saved data? That's a pain. It's been installing NBA2K15 for 6 hours now. I don't know whether to call Amazon, where my wife purchased the drive, Microsoft, since it's their console, or Touro since it's
their brand of drive. All I know is that it's annoying. What should I do now?

Xbox One External Hard Drive Suggestions.

Well I have resolved this issue in case anyone else has the same problem. I replaced the usb cable that came with the Touro S drive with a 6ft. Ativa brand Usb 3.0 Cable and it works great. For some reason the Xbox one does not like the cable that ships
with the Touro S Drive. I noticed that the ativa cable is a lot longer, thicker, and better quality than the one that shipped with the drive.

 

External Hard drive won't work

I had a HGST Touro S 1 tb drive that wasn't detected by my Xbox One. I tried everything that you did. I was able to resolve the issue by replacing the USB 3.0 cable. For some reason the Usb 3.0 cable that came included with the drive does not work with Xbox
One. It worked fine with my PC and everything else, just not with my Xbox One.

 

Hi there, unfortunately they only give one troubleshooting step at the following link:

Have you tired hooking the hard drive up to a PC or another device to see if it gets detected? At least this way you could start to narrow down where the issue is stemming from. Also try hooking up something like a USB to see if the Xbox detects that storage
device.

Just for your information, the cloud automatically backs up your save files, so don't worry about losing those when trying troubleshooting ideas.
