Total system crash on Xbox One S while running a UHD 4K BluRay & no ATMOS or DTS X.

Hello I've replicated this bug five times now. If you are playing back a UHD disc on the Xbox One S and then hit Start, go to Settings, then click on "All Settings" it causes my entire Xbox one to go black and I have to pull the power on the system in order
to get the image back. My system resolution is set to 4k.

Also, does anyone know when Xbox One S will start supporting ATMOS or DTS X in UHD playback? Right now it seems like the best you can do is stream uncompressed 7.1 PCM but that's not the same - doesn't let my receiver do the decoding of the ATMOS signal.

Add 48p and 16:9 Fullscreen for XBox One S 4K UHD Blu Ray player

In the video settings for XBox One S, support for 48p High Frame Rate from the 4k UHD Blu Ray and 16:9 Fullscreen DVD playback on XBox One S should be added. Also support for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X would be nice as well...

 

Dead pool UHD 4k disc does not play on the xbox one s. Goes back to home screen.

To check, which movies have you tested on your console?

If everyone hasn't tried already, please remove the Blu-ray app from your Xbox One, power cycle (hold down power button for 8-10 seconds), and then re-download the app. Let us know if that helps clear up your trouble.

 

I tried the above suggestion to delete the app and reboot. So far I've come across 2 4K movies that will not play on my Xbox One S. I've confirmed both movies work in a Samsung 4K player. Criminal and Eddie the Eagle will not play or even load the menu.
Deadpool works for me. The standard blu-ray and 3D blu-ray movies i've tried so far also work.

 

I have a xbox one S, and 4k playback was successful with BvS, deadpool, and Risen. However the movie Criminal will not load for me on the xbox. My samsung 4k blu ray player has no problem playing the disc so I know it's not fefective. Please fix this
in an update xbox.

Hi all, just reporting the similar issue on my new xbox one S. Bought the Huntsman 4K uhd at bestbuy two days ago, movie played fine on my JU7100 samsung 4k tv up to about 51 mins, then the screen just froze, can't fast forward either. So went to the store
and exchange the disc, same thing happen. Froze at the same spot. Went to the store and verified with samsung uhd bluray player, and movie played just fine on the same spot. That concludes the issue is on my xbox one s. Any updates from the last forum yet???

 

I too purchased the Huntsman 4K from Bestbuy several days ago. Also own the JU7100 (Receiver is a Denon 1300X). Played the extended version without issue. Obviously there is not a consistent issue with the XBONE-S and 4K UHD playback.

 

I just purchased the Deadpool in 4K and off course i crasses! It´s gone two months! Why haven't you guys fixed this problem?? I was about to buy the new PS4 Pro. But in a stupid weak moment I bought the Xbox One S... So I could play 4K movies. Witch I apparently
can't.... What a ripoff. Pleas fix this stupid problem soon, or I will go back to PS machines, who works...
