Total storage needed with updates

Xbox one storage?

After the February update, everything can be viewed under the My Games and Apps section. You can see your total storage used, total storage left, and by clicking the menu button on each game or app, you can see how much they take up individually and manage
the individual game and save files.

I lost xbox storage space because of the new update HELP

I had 800 gb of storage left on my xbox one external storage device and when i got home i had to download the new xbox one dashboard update. After the update I only have 9.6 gb worth of space in total. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.

This is referring to the internal hdd, you must need at least 15% free of the total storage space to make it work properly...

The console may not recognise the storage devices as it needs updating, did you try formatting a stick and putting the system update on that as described in the link? You will then need that stick and the one that has been configured as Xbox storage connected
to the console in order to update the console. You only need one flash drive configured as Xbox storage, the other should be left as fat32 and have the system update on it.
