Total sound loss.

As of recently, my sound has been going completely out. I first noticed it the other night when I put in AC4. My sound was working just fine before I put that game in. I fiddled around with the sound settings in the game to no avail. I then uninstalled the
game and reinstalled. Fixed the issue but only temporarily. Went to play Titanfall and then tried AC4 again no sound. Then went back to TF, that had no sound and when I went back to the dashboard, no sound at all for anything.

I have audio setup through two computer speakers plugged into the 3.5mm jack in the back of my Asus monitor and the other end plugged into the USB port of my one to get power. The speakers are not the problem as I verified they work with my pc. Next step
I took was swapping HDMI cables. The second cable brought no sound, same as the first. I ruled out the xbox one hdmi cable being bad by connecting my computer to my monitor because I had sound then as well.

I also use my Astro A40s for sound as well. I have this setup with the optic cable and USB. Verified all cables were functional by hooking it up to my 360. I had sound per usual.

This issue is beginning to become very annoying as it's happening more frequently. I've been noticing when I turn my console on and have sound, play a game for a little, then switch to another, that the second game I play usually won't have sound, triggering
all my sound to go out. I really have no idea why or how this is happening. Can anyone shed some light on this? I haven't read anything like total sound loss, just the sound of certain apps going out.

You can actually play a game right now? Then play and f the sound. Be happy you can connect because a lot of others can't

 

No. I'm not playing right now. I can't connect to XBL atm either. I just turned my console on quick to see if it would actually have sound.
