    Total confusion on reward credits

    Dear reader (Forum operative),

The fact that the Xbox rewards will transition to Microsoft rewards doesn't make it much clearer….

I already posted on the forum regarding problems with my leveling up and got an answer that the current way the rewards were specified the rewards were in percentages and therefor it was not possible to say why i had not leveled up....this was i think 2
    years ago.

Now cause everything is changing and all of a sudden I'm in two reward programs at a time i noticed, cause it is clearer now how credits are build up, that i not get 1 credit for every (in my case) euro spend as stated on the site.

A few weeks ago i made some purchases which should have leveled me up in my "stars" but it didn't….since i had addressed this before and didn't get a satisfying answer then i didn't even bother to start about it again.

However, today i purchase a few games again and noticed I'm in a completely different reward system and was starting at level one again.

Here you could see how your credit was build up, so by clicking on it i noticed the credits rewarded were not the same as what i payed (in the Xbox store) for the games.

    Example:

(taken from my purchase history page)

    1. State of Decay 2: Ultimate Edition, i bought in the Xbox store for €49,99 so should be 49 reward credits, however in the purchase history had a price next to the game of €41,31 and therefor got 41 reward credits.

    2. Call of Duty: infinite Warfare - Digital Deluxe Edition, bought for €55 (so 55 credits) but it stated in the history €45,46 (so 45 credits)

    3. Call of Duty: WWII - Digital Deluxe, bought for €64,99 (64 credits) but in history said €54,16 (54 credits)

    4. Battlefield 1 Premium Pass, bought for €12,50 (12 credits) AND HERE IS THE FUNNY BIT, in history says €12,50 (12 credits) hmm?!?!

I scrolled further through my history and noticed it's very inconsistent with the way it prices the games and therefor how it's being credited.

In most cases it seems to appear the higher the actual purchase cost, the lower the value cost it gets in the history and therefor a lower crediting.

So that's basically my problem explained as good i could, which leaves me with the questions; 1. why these pricing differences in the first place, 2. will i get the rest of my credits still and also those over the past years where this has been very inconsistent,
    3. what that mean for my Xbox Rewards and the transfer and uniting of those credits with the "new" credits/ leveling i seems to be already doing on the Microsoft Rewards??

Hope i explained it clearly enough.

I earlier spoke to Xbox Support about it and "Olivia M" put it all under ref: 1425203875, so maybe that will fill in some blanks.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards,

    Tino

    :)

    credits and vip rank

    Hello alf alfa187,

Apologies for the confusion. We are currently experiencing a delay in processing purchases made around the end of June and beginning of July due to a data delay. We hope to have this issue resolved soon. Regarding your June Credits, from the FAQ:

When will my MyVIP Rewards Credits be deposited into my Microsoft account?

The total Rewards earned will be calculated at the end of each month. Typically you'll receive your MyVIP earnings in your account by the 15th of the following month, though this is subject to the program's current deposit
terms. Be sure to keep an eye on MyStatement on the
MyRewards page to track your progress and watch your Rewards Credits total grow!

We have not yet calculated the month's MyVIP, so it is too early to see the Credits pending.

    Total confusion on reward credits

    Hello Tdog71 nl,

Unfortunately, it seems like your questions are mostly about how Microsoft Points are awarded in the Microsoft Rewards program. We are completely separate from that program, so you should reach out to their support team via their website for better suited
assistance. Regarding your second question, you can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at
    https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/
    .

    -or-

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
back as MyVIP payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

MyVIP had a recalibration for the last few years. At the end of the year, we place you in your MyVIP rank for the new year based off your eligible spending from the previous year, and set your progress to the default state. This happened in September 2015
and December 2016. We did not recalibrate this year (December 2017). You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (Xbox Live Rewards). Since your only purchases so far this year was
three pre-orders in March, you have only earned Credits from the Games on Demand offer. Pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP, as stated previously, and do not award progress or payback.

On a further note, we do not see any of the purchases you describe above. If you only made these purchases recently, please keep in mind that it takes us 96 hours to process new activity.

Regarding your third question, you can read more about the transition to Microsoft Rewards in the FAQ that is linked in the pop-up on the Rewards site. For example, your Credits will be converted to currency and deposited, and not combined with your current
    Point amount:

What about my current Xbox Live Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems balance?

If you have any pending Rewards Credits in your Xbox Live Rewards account on 31 May 2018, or if you are expecting your MyVIP deposit for purchases made in May 2018, Xbox Live Rewards will convert them into your local currency and deposit them in your
Microsoft account by the end of June. You will then have 1 year to spend that currency on digital items from the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft Reward levels are not the same as MyVIP star levels:

What will happen to my MyVIP Star Rank in Microsoft Rewards?

MyVIP Star Ranks are not part of the Microsoft Rewards programme. If you are an Xbox Live Rewards member with a MyVIP Star Rank and you transition to Microsoft Rewards, you will receive special benefits in Microsoft Rewards for a promotional period until
31 December 2018. Click here to learn more.

Again, for any questions about your account after it transitions to Microsoft Rewards, we recommend contacting Microsoft Support for a better informed response, via the link in the FAQ:

Switched over to Xbox 1 x and I'm not receiving rewards

    Hello RISKY BUISNESS,

    From our FAQ:

When will my MyVIP Rewards Credits be deposited into my Microsoft account?

The total Rewards earned will be calculated at the end of each month. Typically you'll receive your MyVIP earnings in your account by the 15th of the following month, though this is subject to the program's current deposit
terms. Be sure to keep an eye on MyStatement on the
MyRewards page to track your progress and watch your Rewards Credits total grow!

We have not yet calculated last month's MyVIP, so it is too early to see the Credits pending. Additionally, we see that you were award Credits in October. If you are confused about that, please keep in mind that pre-orders are not eligible for MyVIP and
    do not award payback.
