Torchlight

Tempted to buy, worth the purchase? Pros / Cons? Done some research on MC & YouTube but I'm using the forums as my last stepping stone before I make a decision. I loved Diablo / D2 / D3 and I know the gameplay is similar but will I get my moneys worth
in terms of content and enjoyment?

I'm the same! Totally racked off - 400pts is an awesome deal and yet it wants to charge me 1200!

It won't let me buy its online or on the xbox for the 400 MSP.

 

Been a while but remember i put i put a good few hours into Torchlight & still never finished it.

You should like it if you like the Diablo games.

Definately one of the better xbla games out there.

 

It's not really worth £10 now.

Best off getting Torchlight 2 on PC for less than £4 or just playing Path of Exile which is free.

 

Torchlight is a great little game that plays similar to Diablo 3, it does have a little bit of slow down when the action is frantic but it's not game breaking, I highly recommend the game to anyone that likes the genre and is a rabid loot hound!

 

Like @The1337gamer said get TL2 off steam it's a great game. I wasted well over a hundred hours on it and it will run on even the cheapest laptop no problem.

 

I've only played Torchlight2 and loved it.

 

Torchlight is an awesome and addicting game..if your into hack and slash dungeon looters than the price is def worth it especially with endless dungeons,pets and loot.(i just broke this out the other day again myself) The soundtrack on this game is awesome
to would love to switch out Diablo 3's for Torchlight's.

 

I decided to screw patience over and just buy the game despite it's £10 price tag. I've got to say, it's rather enjoyable. The only problem I've had so far is the frame-rate spikes. It's not game breaking but can be a bit annoying nonetheless. I did have
a look on Steam and Torchlight (Original) was actually £12.99 and Torchlight 2 is £14.99. Decided to have a look on eBay and found people selling codes for T2 on Steam at around £6 - 9 so once I have completed the original, I'll probably get a code off there
and play it on the laptop.

 

@Synklare, you can get Torchlight 2 even cheaper by using steamtrades. It sells for 2-3 Team Fortress 2 Keys (buy these in TF2 itself or on the steam marketplace) which costs £3-£5.

 

If you like Torchlight or Diablo 3 you will like a game called The Witch and the Hundred Knight, it's very similar but with a Japanese flavour.

 

^ I like Japanese twists. Is this an Xbox game? As for Torchlight, I remember the name but I have never played it.

 

I am afraid not Cloud, it's PS3, the thread was dead and I was posting it here because a lot of people here have multiple consoles, and I like informing true gamers about great games regardless of platform, I did not mention it was PS3 in the original post
as not to draw attention to the fact it is not on Xbox360, but we are here now!

 

Hey dude. Thanks for the FYI. Don't worry about it not being an Xbox game, people here should be comfortable to express their likes for other consoles. The Playstations are great ports of gaming. The only thing that gets jumped on is wars between consoles
or their comparisons because (as I am sure you have already seen in many places) it just leads to trouble. Simply suggesting a game on another platform is no issue
