Top End In game content, what percent should be able to get it?

COD extinction has a teeth system, you can earn teeth then spending them on upgrades, you obvisouly have to play the game to earn the teeth and therefore get the upgrades and the more you play the more upgrades you can get.

Now the way you eanr teeth is you get 1 tooth for completing the map, one tooth for completiting a map with a relic, 1 tooth for helping someone thats not completed it before, and 1 tooth getting 600 kills.

so on avarage your getting 3 teeth for every complete, a complete takes roughly an hour.

Now the last lot of upgrades 1 cost 1000 teeth, and another 500 teeth (you need over 2200 teeth for all the upgrades for this DLC alone), that would mean, you have to play extinction for well over 300 hours to get just the 1000 teeth upgrade.

(I have simplified earning teeth I have just shown an average way, you can earn more and less, and you can complete quicker and longer depending on time in the lobby, who you play with and which map, I just added the info for examples)

A rough estimate would suggest that less than 1% of players will have the biggest upgrade.

Now I play extinction a fair bit (more than most, but less than a very few) and i will never reach that amount, so I will never get that upgrade.

Destiny is coming out soon, and getting the right kit is going to be a very big part of the game both for PvP and PvE.

So what what percentage of people should be able to get the truly top gear? And if it isn't within my reach should I be disgruntled? Any other thoughts,,,,,,,

Current Digital Rights are terrible...give us right to sell/trade/lend our rights!

I do believe game devs should get a portion back from resales and that it should be a bigger percent then what the store is receiving.

i will next month. Becoues suck like donkey balls of gamer rampage. And now I will be on road of 100 percent completet. Speaking 100 percent. It most like be top retail game be completeted becoues this month king of the tracks.

 

If it works like that all I can say is I work too much and I guess my future will revolve around green gear.

 

Same here Listed Mia. I've been working my butt off lately. Extinction didn't have the teeth system to begin with. It's just a ploy to get more people to play it. CoD Ghosts has a really low population for a CoD game. Blops 2 had double it last time I checked.
I bet you Blops 2 has more people on Ghosts than the 360 and One version combined.

To answer your question? The people who solely play that one game/game mode. I like diversity but some people play the same game to death and more. I don't know how they don't get bored with the same game but to each their own. You shouldn't be disgruntled.
Some people just have way too much time on their hands.

P.S I can't wait for Destiny! I just hope I can have more free time when it comes out.

Why I agree it was a ploy, I also think this update has annoyed more people than its got people hooked, (not at the other players, but at the creators).

I do think destiny will be a little difference, because you get random drops you will have a "chance" to get the same as people that play it more often, the COD situation is you have to put over 300 hours in just to get one upgrade, which even for people
that play it a lot could still be impossible.

Based on the two situations, I would be more likely to keep playing if there was a good chance of getting it, but knowing I won't be able to, there is simply no point playing any more.

Plus I am only playing it because I don't have anything else to play until destiny comes out.

 

I prefer having the ability to buy teeth with a credit card via Xbox Live Marketplace. Just like you can earn tokens in Forza 5, or buy them. Just like in Happy Wars you can earn Happy Tickets, or buy them. I do not have an infinite amount of free time on
my hands that's why. And games should be for fun not something to have to work very hard or very long just to get rewarded for it.

 

I don't have a problem with people paying for it with MT, but i do think add MT to get the best stuff lessens there worth, so its important to not put everything behind MT, and reward the people that have put the time into the game.

I don't think you should have to work very hard, but I think you should have to work hard, but its defining that "hard" thats the issue.

With the 1000 teeth upgrade I don't think more than 25% of the community should be able to get it. (partly due to the life of the game not being long left anyway)
