TOP 5 GAMES YOU WISH YOU NEVER BOUGHT

I really enjoyed Lost Planet. Lost Planet 2 was a great example of a game that kicked aside single player story for over the top Co op. While it was enjoyable 4 Co op. Taking anything valuable from the story was near impossible. And personally I enjoyed
Lost Planet's and Waynes story. Lost Planet 2 was garbage and a step back (in my opinion). And Lost Planet 3 was getting back to the roots, but a prequel and I couldn't finish it.

 

#1 Definitely Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Future Soldier. Bought two copies one I picked up and the other I bought for my buddy along with overnight shipping. Was a huge fan of Ghost Recon series all the way up through GRAW 2.

#2 Final Fantasy XIII I bought it for the PS3 along with the hard cover guide. I have tried two times playing from the beginning, but around 20 hours in I just lose complete interest.

#3 Prototype even for $5 I wish I spent it on something else.

#4 Dues Ex Human Revolution I had fun at first, but something didn't click. Most fun I had was messing with the NPCs in the police station to get them to kill themselves out of playing with with my buddy. I thought it was nostalgia, but I went back and played
the first one on PC and had more fun.

#5 I dodged a bullet on this one. Spiderman 3 I pre-ordered it and then when I saw all the abysmal scores and scathing reviews when I got home I took it back sealed. Amazing thing was some Mom was there to get it as a birthday gift in line in front of me
and they were sold out. I returned it and she bought it. I rented it later to judge for myself and it was bad.

One game I wish I gave more of a chance was Mass Effect. I only played the first couple hours and the AI bunching up and broken path finding and the constant frame rate drops was enough I gave it to a friend. I later borrowed Mass Effect 2 from him and had
a good time playing some of that, but felt I was missing out. Hope they do an HD legacy pack for it or something.

 

GTA 4 - Nico bell (end) is an awful character

MW2 - Glitch fest

MW3 - Glitch fest

Titanfall - more content in a tramps vest

Crimson Dragon - its was free and that was still too much

In regards to Titanfall the new DLC pack is okay, but we literally only have 6 maps, and a 'temporary' new mode. There are new little bits and pieces about though- like buying emblems, burn cards (I told you they would do that one day! EA can't resist selling
card packs for some reason- whether for real cash or not) and the new daily challenges add a new dynamic. Piece by piece we're getting a more fleshed out experience, but there need to be a lot more. Minimum of 3 more map packs, an integrated clan system, at
least 6 new permanent game modes, and some more customization and colour options for Pilots and Titans (Bright pink Ogre anyone?) Make it so, and Titanfall will be all set for a decent life span.

 

Lei Fang - I agree. The time limit added an element of stress. I don't play games to stress out. If I'm playing an open world I want to take my time and explore. I've played through DR3 a few times this month. The 'time limit' in that game is very manageable.

iBakez - I don't remember mw2/mw3 being glitch fests until later on. If you want to hate on OMA, noobtube, danger close I can get on board. I've tried playing MW2 a few times over the past few years and it is lobbies full of noob tubes. Once one guy does
it, it spreads like a wild fire.

 

1. Star Trek. Yeah, I know. I saw it coming too, but I still had to do it. And I swear that's the last time that I will ever hold hope that there could be a decent Star Trek game. No, really, I swear! And I'm sure y'all agree. Someone else did buy
it, right? Helllooooooo?

(The regret from buying Bad Choice No. 1 is so ginormous that, like a supernova, it completely obliterates my regrets for games 2, 3, 4 and 5.)

 

^I bought Star Trek for 9 bucks on sale. It is a really underrated game IMO. Sure it has AI problems (if you don't play on hard) and some glitches but they nailed the atmosphere. I'm on the last chapter "The Mothership". Its not a Star Trek RPG that everyone
hoped for but it is a decent 3rd person shooter. Compared to other 3rdPS, I liked it more than Army of Two, Ghost Recon:FS and Gears Judgment thats for sure. I could see spending $60 on the title and feeling a little bummed about it though.

 

1. BF4- (X1) Seriously hating the game mostly because all my SP data is gone. I didn't even play the game for several months and it still isn't fixed.

2. RE 2-(PS1) I don't even remember now why I hate this game but it completely turned me off zombie games in general or any game that looks like a zombie game

3. Watch Dogs-I'm not liking it; trying too but just not feeling it so far. I've not put enough time into it yet though.

4. Uncharted 2 (PS3) I can't finish this game; I just find it boring to me.

5. I don't have a number 5 yet. I'm really picky about games so I usually try to buy games I'm really interested in.

Nine bucks would have been a lot easier to stomach! I liked the concept and agree the game play in general was good (personally I enjoy stealth objective-type missions). I'm sure my overall experience would have been much better had I played
through the story in co-op with a buddy (the co-op was another nice feature).

My problem is with the execution. I don't understand developers, publishers, and franchise license holders who are willing to put out a game with the lack of polish that this game exhibited and call it a finished product. I made it through the game with
no big single game-ending glitch, but I experienced plenty that took me right out of the story and/or made a few of the secondary objectives impossible to achieve. I know Spock has the power of the mind-meld and a mean nerve pinch, but I had no idea levitation
was in his bag of tricks! I can remember at least a time or two when when he floated right off a ladder and into the view of the Gorn, ending my stealth attempt. lol

I've had plenty of fun playing other bad games, but the Star Trek franchise has a stigma of gaming badness. That may well have colored my view of this game too. I missed out on GRFS, GoW Judgment, and Army of Two and, based on your assessment, will try
to keep it that way.

 

Any movie games suck cause the movie company's don't want to give the dev./pub money to make the games right. the only movie game was good was King Kong made by UBI on OG Xbox and XBOX 360.

 

I agree with you Z Trooper. But there is one movie tie in game that was good. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Uncaged Edition). The combat was visceral, Hugh Jackman offered his likeness and did all of Wolverines voice work. Underrated game.

 

Re movie tie ins, the arcade games of the star wars trilogy in the 80s, Robocop (arcade), Goldeneye (N64).

NOTE: I've only watched Star Trek: The Next Generation & Star Trek: Voyager; I didn't like Deep Space Nince and Enterprise (sorry)
