Too many Xbox One X consoles randomly disconnecting from internet

I've posted in two other threads addressing this but I'd like to make another discussion topic about it in hopes to bring more attention to the widespread problem many are dealing with. I've been having
an issue with my One X randomly disconnecting. It's happened several times over the past week; fortunately not while in the middle of a gaming session yet. Come to think of it, I don't believe it happened to me until the latest console update (although I've
read many other posts here, on reddit, and other places that state this has been an issue for some even before this last update). The past two nights it occurred while I was simply browsing the Microsoft Store, and each time I have to hard reset the console
to get it to connect again. I have been a loyal consumer of the Xbox platform since the original console and purchased the One X a few weeks ago. Yes, I've hard reset the console and power cycled each time and even reset my modem but the problem persists.
I've searched and found that so many others are having similar issues and it seems to only be on the One X. Some are saying switching to a wired connection helped, but the majority are saying they still get issues through an Ethernet connection so I really
don't want to have to spend the extra money to get an extra, longer Ethernet cable to only be faced with this issue there as well. I've also seen so many posts stating that people have returned their One X for a new one and still have the exact same issue,
so why go through the trouble of getting a replacement when I will most likely be faced with the same issue on another One X? Again, I will say that this is unacceptable for a console that so many people have spent $500 on. I, as many others have stated, know
it's definitely not an issue with my WiFi, ISP, or even Xbox Live status but with the One X itself in some way (whether it be through it's wireless hardware or software). The people dealing with this (I can speak for myself, but I'm sure many others will agree)
are loyal customers who want to be able to enjoy the platform that they chose for gaming. Please, Microsoft, address this issue without giving the same generic feedback. There are so many who are looking for a solution to this problem. Thank you in advance.

    :)

    Hello Introspect!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It sounds like you're having a frustrating issue about your console disconnecting from Xbox Live randomly. I recommend checking out this support article: "My
Xbox One is getting randomly disconnected from Xbox Live"
. That being said it sounds like you have done a lot of research and may have already tried the steps in the above listed link. If that is the case I would consider trying to see about Getting
your Xbox console or Kinect sensor serviced
    . You may also
    Contact Xbox Customer Support
because a console purchased only weeks ago would definitely be covered by its manufacturer's warranty and they can help provide you any options you may have available to get it fixed.

    Hope this helps!

A hard restart does fix it for a bit. But, as someone else stated in a similar post, it inevitably ends up happening again.

  6. Hi Introspect,

    I would recommend changing
    the console to Energy-Saving
    Mode
    .
    To change this setting:

    1. Press the
Xbox button to open the guide (Don't hold the Xbox Button on the controller)
    2. Select
      System >Settings
    3. Select
      Power & startup
      >Power mode & startup.
    4. Select
      Power mode
      to change the setting to
      Energy-Saving
    5. Then restart the console by pressing the
      Xbox Button
      again. Go to
      System
      and select
      Restart Console
      (Not Settings).

Try using the console as usual with energy saving mode and let us know how it goes. Before using the servicing option,
    please try a
    Soft Factory Reset. It
could be the operating system is having some technical difficulties if it not a hardware or router/ISP problem.

    Steps:
    Xbox Guide Button
    >
    System
    >
    Settings
    >
    System
    >
    Console Info
    >
    Keep my games and apps

    Side Note:
    It is
very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
    it from the console.

To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
    Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;
in middle column at the top it will say "show on home"
if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.

Let us know if this helps Too many Xbox One X consoles randomly disconnecting from internet :)

I already use Energy Saving Mode. Also, last night I followed this advice that was given to someone else in another post:

"First things first, we suggest clearing out the Network Card Cache since there might be some leftover information from the initial setup. To clear the alternate MAC address follow these steps:

    Settings

    Network

    Network Settings

    Advanced Settings

    Alternate MAC Address

    Clear and Restart"

I will report back in a few days to update as to whether or not that helped resolve the issue.

I'm having the same issue too, performed soft rebootwith tech, checked ports with att field tech. and have monitoring my download and uploadspeeds in settings before proceeding in gameplay, (madden 19). Problem exists only in loading human
2 human play. Does not exist in madden 18. 18 loads fine. Something has changed. Ea tech not helpful and have been a regular to EA forums looking for an answer. My "specialty retailer" is not recommending to their customers the purchase of 19 to xbox one users.
Because of the returns. But they seem to think it works well with PS4.

  9. This is happening to me also. I thought this could be an issue as I am in the Preview build, checked the known issues & nope not there. I have submitted an error through my Xbox for this just in case. Having then looked online I found this post and many
    others about the same thing.

I have my Xbox 1X wired in & in the same room my laptop & my wife's smart TV are on the same network (1 wired 1 Wi-Fi). My Xbox 1X will loose it's connection yet all other devices remain up. When I use my Xbox 1S in another room on Wi-Fi I have zero issues
    at all.

My Xbox 1X is already in energy saving mode. I have just cleared & reset my MAC. Let's see what happens

This is really frustrating as you could end up getting a load of negative feedback due to disconnects

    Will keep you all posted

  10. So far so good after approx. 3 hrs use. I will keep you all posted but this is the longest my Xbox 1X has stayed online recently. Watch it drop now!

Same here (this is after clearing the alternate MAC address). No disconnects yesterday at all. Here's to hoping this was a solution for us! As well, I will report back if anything changes.

  12. Since clearing & resetting the MAC I have not had a disconnection issue. I think this can be marked as a resolution

If you have an Xbox connected over Wi-Fi, so yes, this problem becomes, to solve this problem, to connect the console wired to the Internet. You will have stable internet, bigger and steadier speed.

Spoke too soon. Seemed resolved and worked fine for about a week, but the issue reoccurred about 30 minutes ago while I was viewing my captures on Xbox Live.
