    Too many power cycles

So, recently my Xbox One has been needing alot of power cycles and it is starting to concern me.

On several occasions I have gotten the non responsive controller, and if you sign in with your voice via the Kinect, it says "Sorry, cannot sign in" As with others, power cycle fixes this, but I have needed to do this three times over the last few days.

In addition, we got my son Disney Infinity 2.0 for his birthday, it will often tell him the base isn't plugged in. We need to un and replug the base in. Works after that happens.

Finally, every now and then, I will put a disc in, but it won't show up in the proper square. If I click the game, via the apps menu, it prompts me in insert disc or buy the game. Ejecting the disc (which is clean) and reinserting it usually solves the issue.

Maybe its me, but considering I got this console in February I am worried that it is already dying. I realize Xbox will replace it (with a refurbished system), but I have the Best Buy warranty plan for 2 years and I may be able to turn it in. I just don't
want to use a replacement if it isn't my system as much as it is a software issue. I shouldn't need to power cycle the console this much or clear the cashe by holding the power button down.

Anyone else having this many issues? Am I just Paranoid?

    :)

    XBone is unresponsive

I have noticed mine doing this as well. It has been been needing far too many power cycles recently. Wonder if it was the last update.

  3. Unable to download day 1 update - Problem with the update

Yep, this is happening to me too, about 10 power cycles and nothing.

I hope it's something like too many people trying to update at the same time?

Either way, where the hell is the support???

    Hey there ShadowBlade4!

Sorry to hear about the issues! First, I would make sure your Xbox One console is plugged directly into the wall outlet, instead of a surge protector. If it is, the next thing I recommend doing is a

    factory reset
. If you experience these issues after the reset I would get the console replaced. You can visit our
Contact Us page or the Online Service center to get the replacement process going if those options didn't work, or you can bring it in to Best Buy to
take advantage of your extended warranty!

It is plugged in to a wall outlet. I saw that as a suggestion to another post and did that. I have troubleshooted the culprit to being the always on setting. If it does a fresh boot everytime, I don't seem to have issues. Of course, that also begs the question
as to if it is acceptable. I guess I can try the console reset. It would be a pain, but it should work, hopefully. I will get back after I have the time to do this. Thank you.

    Xbone Crashing

Happens to many people. There's clearly an issue with the Xbox One operating system/hardware. Ghosts crashes to dashboard on me entirely way too many times. I'm sick of power cycling my xbox to get temporary relief.
