too low chat volume

i need to communicate with my friends when playing multiplayer (for example kinect rivals, forza etc.) but voice loudness too low! I found and set chat/game loudness to 80/20 but still hardly heard.

What can I do? Is my only possibility to switch off game volume? Stupid solution.......... or use snapped skype if possible?

Razer Chimaera 5.1 audio problem?

Is the chat volume on the Chimaera too low or could it be that my headset it defected? The chat volume will only increase with the overall volume, but it's usually drowned by the game audio. Anyone else have issues with this?

Astro A50?

Thanks for your reply.

I'm currently torn between the A40 and the A50.

But also the TB Stealth 700 now lol. I like how with TB the dial for game sound and chat are seperate. I can really dial in the volume for each. Whereas the Astros seem to have one volume wheel, I can either have high game volume with low chat or high chat and low volume.

Just a thought. Have you tried a different headset? It could be a problem with yours.

no headset, 5.1 speakers......... i was able to try to use skype now. It works as I need, just snapped area for skype is very big :-(

Ah forgot to add that one, but I have already as well. I'm also a MSFT employee, and none of the insider rings fixed it.

Yes I have. It goes into the update screen then jumps to 100% and says controller is up to date.

Oh, interesting. Have you tried to perform a controller firmware update, even if you don't have any updates available for the controller?
