Is it just me or are the Jewelcraft Tomes rarer than the blacksmith Tomes? I currently have 4 Jewelcraft and 122 Blacksmith Tomes.

From my experience, I get about 1 Tome Of Jewelcrafting for every 10 or 11 Tomes Of Blacksmithing. However, once you play on the Inferno difficulty setting, the only thing that is going to be dropped are Tomes Of Secret (which works for both the Jewelcrafter
and the Blacksmith).

Yea I noticed that Inferno gave you Tomes of Secrets shortly after posting my last message. Which is awesome, but kinda depressing that I spent so much time farming the other 2 tomes. Thanks for the info though. Now I have nearly 300 Secret Tomes and lacking
blueprints lol.

I have about 1000 or so Tomes Of Secret because my Blacksmith is maxed out at level 4 (almost level 5). My Jewelcrafter is maxed out to the max already but I have never used the Blacksmith nor do I see myself using him (Blacksmith) because I either find
the gear / equipment that I use by purchasing them from merchants or finding them in the loot drops

I maxed both out for the achievements, but I do agree that the blacksmith gear is not that great.

 

I don't agree. Half the gear I wear is stuff I made. I pick up all materials for the chance to make something even better than what I already have.

 

I've made a few pieces from the Blacksmith, but mostly seems like the gear that I find is better. However that may just be because of the fact that I haven't found very many plans yet.

 

Ah, understandable. The gear I make are all mostly due to legendary plans I've found. I do have some rare gear I wear on some of my characters, but not my main one. Finding the legendary plans have really helped a lot.

Legendary Plans are difficult to come by. Crafted Legendary Gear / Equipment must be awesome; but I will never know that because I don't use the Blacksmith.

I understand from posts I've seen from you that you are not interested in crafting with the blacksmith. Everyone's play style is different. I personally, like to take advantage of everything the game has to offer to increase the stats of my characters.
Kind of in the way of bragging rights? That's why I don't use modded gear. You can't really brag or claim true achievement if you didn't earn it on your own. Trading is OK with me though, since it IS a part of the game. However, it's still a challenge
even with trading to find really good gear. I'm OK with just sharing too.. I've given away a bunch of extra plans I keep in storage for people looking.
