tomb raider not playable after redeeming and listed as pre-order.

I redeemed a code for shadow of the tomb raider and its not playable because the release date is bugged. (restarting+ reinstalling does not help)

Anyone know how to fix this ?

I have the same problem, just got the Xbox One X, and came in with digital copy for Shadow of Tomb Raider.

Setup the code, downloaded & installed.

And I got the buggy message related to "You're too early".

Unable to launch it.

Something insteresting that I checked over the forums faqs for microsoft store, is that if you have some pending subscription as past due on payment, it will make some noise that might be related.

In my case is the game pass subscription which needs to be paid, but somehow I'm unable to do it, I've used all my credit cards to try, and doesn't work, it doesn't even say why payment is being rejected.

The whole thing sucks.

If the hard reset doesn't work either, give the factory reset with keeping your games and apps (so that you don't have to install them again) a try:

I have the same problem. I had a chat with Microsoft Customer Service. The guy said I have to do the following:

I cannot try this at the moment because I'm at work. But he said it is the right solution.

Well, I got on phone support with Xbox, and they took care of the issue with regarding the subscription, but no changes at all.

Pending payment on subscription is not the problem.

The nice guy on the phone told me that it's a situation is directly related to the tomb raider title, that people has been reporting this issue with the redeem codes.

They suppose to be working on provide evidence to work out a fix for this, so please report the problem on phone support to get this taken care of

 

Power cycle etc doesn't help because its a widespread issue, it seems everyone that tries to redeem a code from a bundle has it.

I contacted support and they were already aware of the problem and would send me an update in the previous 24 hours, but I received nothing…

 

Hello All,

This is a known issue with new console bundles that come with Shadow of the tomb raider. Currently the code is redeemable, but the license does not activate until January of 2019. This is something that we are working on internally and should be fixed soon.
Although, there is no estimated time frame on that.
