Tomb raider GAME deal

Just seen that if u trade in one select game ur get tomb raider for £14.99 I might trade in dead rising 3 the games are. Battlefield 4 dead rising 3 Forza 5 need for speed

This is no new technique and I'd hardly call it a deal. You're still losing out a fair bit and you're sacrificing a brand new £55 game for a re-make.

By all means, if you're in to trading in then you'e getting very slightly more back from it but I don't consider it to be that good. I'm sure somebody will find this post helpful and appreciate it though.

GAME is a UK store but it's not unlikely that the US alternatives are running a similar promotion. Check the Gamestop website or something.

 

I'm trading in a game I'll only get £25 for so I'm paying for a game that's costing £45 but I'm paying 15 so in away I'm trading in a game for £35 not 25

 

If you're paying £15 for a game that costs £45 then your trade in is £30.

The fact that you're getting £30 for a game that cost £55 less than 2 months ago and is still retailing for the same is insane. if you've taken good care of your games then it will be in no worse condition than day one and hasn't lost any of it's features.
Not to mention the fact that they'll sell it for a tremendously high price, I've seen pre-owned games for only £3 less than the RRP before.

Of course, this is how business works, they need their profit. However, I find the pre-owned games market take it a little too far and often neither the buyer or seller of the pre-owned games gets a justifiable benefit. If I took Dead Rising to my local
indie store I'd get £30 no matter what I buy and she'd sell it on for a decent mark down whilst retaining her profit.

 

Game also tend to charge more for their games than elsewhere which erodes the "generous trade in".

 

Trust me iv tried selling nfs ac4 and dead rising for £40 but ppl always say £35

Game run at their prime before Christmas. Save £150 and wait for the deals to roll in, £20 - £30 a game, one at a time, AAA titles. other than that, I ALWAYS shop around before I go there. The brand new prices are usually just RRP but the Pre-Owned prices
and Trade-In values are beyond a joke.

 

Only reason I shop with GAME IS THEY OFFER DISC CARE FOR £1 and I don't trust online
