tomb raider freeze

I have played the new tomb raider game on xbox one and the game locked up twice has this happend to anyone else

:)

 

rise of the tomb raider wont play and turns off.

try to play rise of the tomb raider on xbox on freezes up then turns off and on does not happen on any other game.

Tomorrow we will see an announcement from Square Enix about the next Tomb Raider game.

Possibly the last in the Lara Croft story.

Personally I can't wait as Tomb Raider and Rise of were both fantastic.

When you say locked up do you mean the game returning to dashboard? The OS is buggy and often does that, doesn't matter what the game is. The console isn't fit for retail and the update can't come soon enough

 

No game just locks up and i have to return to dashboard and start from where i last saved my game

 

The game should not lock up at all.



I've been playing fine with no issues at all.



You should seek advice from the Support section of of these Forums.



Also the only game that's ever thrown me back to the dashboard on the ONE is "Battlefield 4" and that was before the patch.



There is not a prolem with the OS. You also should seek advice from Support.

Az there's a known ram caching problem with the xbox one that causes games to quit to dashboard, ms have said they are working on a fix, but you say there's no problem? C'mon man!

 

I have had two dashboardings since Day 1 and that was BF4 both times. Had no issues with other games at all.

 

The Xbox Support Forums are full of people reporting the "Dashboard" problem, I had quite a few issues with it but I know others like Mr Genchy above that have had very few problems, it's an odd one.

@ OP .. Another thing to try ( if you haven't already ) is a Hard Reboot, when the console is on, press and hold the power button on console until you hear it beep, it will then reset itself, this has helped a lot of people. If problems start again, repeat
process.

Like Senses Failed said above, Microsoft are aware of the issue because when I spoke to Xbox Support on the phone they said ... "Microsoft are aware of the issue" ... ( unless of course they were lying lol ) They didn't say what actually causes it but I'm pretty
confident a fix is on the way.

 

I've had it happen a couple of times with BF4, a couple of times with Peggle 2 and a couple of times with FIFA - all EA games! thankfully that's all its been since day one, so its not too bad but it does seem to affect some greater than others

Like I said mate it is an odd one.

I can't remember off the top of my head all the games it's happened to me on but I know it wasn't just EA titles. Forza 5, Ryse also, I know my son has said it's happened a few times on Assassins Creed 4.

Talking of Forza 5, when the moderators organised the Forza 5 game night I believe it was Mr Viral Cyrix that had a few issues with dashboarding, quite a few times when we finished the race and were returning to the lobby it chucked him back.

It is a pain in the backside when it happens though, for me anyway it always seemed to happen when I was having a good game and doing well lol

 

Dashboarded on halo spartan assault (a lot), battlefield 4, and forza motorsport (after a 6gb update!)

This 2 months after release, pretty shoddy

Sorry to hear you were hit with it too.



As Microsoft Support do not send me regular updates as to the status of other people's consoles I was not aware there was an issue.



Butt at least they know about the issue and are working to fix it for foks like yourself.

 

Tomb raider is broken.So fed up of restarting.Somebody really needs to address this problem.
