Tomb Raider for X1 is just a copy of last years game for 360?

It's a fantastic game. I am a nerd for graphics so I might get it again.

 

x24hrs: I have a big problem with Madden, Ghost., Battlefield, Dance and all other games that are exactly the same as the 360. More so the ones that rely on a story mode I guess. If they would have just made the x1 backwards comp then there would have
been a big enough inventory of games to get the x1 off and running. I just do not see any good games coming until the 360 is put to rest and they are selling more 360 now then they are x1 because of the discounted prices. Therefore I see the game companies
making games to a accommodate both consoles for some time. My guess is the Tomb Raider Game maybe paid one guy to rewrite it then the rest on some marketing sort of like the Titanic 3d movie that came out. There is zero online play for Tomb Raider even though
I think it would be fun there is nobody to play with. I still see this Tomb Raider game as way over priced.

 

Relevene: It would be like every time you upgrade you upgrade your tv you would want to rewatch all your old movies or replay all your old games. I would rather play a new game or watch a new movie on a 19 inch tv than be forced to watch or play repeats
on a new flatscreen. I do admit that the first year of the plasma tv and HD I would find things in HD just to watch for the gimmick in it, now after years later I would rather watch or play good content on any tv.

 

I had it on the 360 but never had the time to finish it. gonna buy the x1 version and play it through.

 

Out of the 3 games Battlefield4, Madden and COD that you wish you waited on i can honestly say the only one of those 3 that is diffrent/polished is BF4. If someone got a xbox one and just COD I honestly feel for them, because that game wasnt at all polished
for next gen in anyway and is a terrible game to get into next gen with. BF4 might not of been made for these consoles first but it is a next gen pc game that was ported to console and ported well, minus crashing that also pc player had as well. When BF4
works its a early next gen treat to whats possible. Tomb Raider looked great on 360 so it will be hard to spot alot of diffrences im sure but i think alot of people skipped over TR and this will give them a reason to try it, since theres no games coming
for awhile for X1 this is something great people who havent played the 360 version should play. Even if the graphics arent that upgraded it still looked great on 360 and better then most 360 games. So if you havent played it, please do so, its Uncharted
gameplay with the the series that help make the way for uncharted in the first place. Prob one of the best games in years. The MP wasnt that bad either and it comes with all the Maps.

 

No, it sounds like they are really re-working the visuals, this is going to be a bigger bump than just AC IV on xbox 360 vs. AC IV on xbox one.

Granted, if you've already played it, it might not be worth it. But there are plenty of people who have not (like me). And if I hadn't blown all my budget on black friday sales and my PS4 I'd be interested in it and glad I didn't get around to playing it
on either of my previous gen consoles.This just means when I'm ready to play it, it will probably have gone down in price and I get to play the definitive version.

And if you really liked it, it would probably be worth double dipping cause it will be vastly improved. Plus you get to play it on your new gen system which hopefully is nicer to use than your old gen system. Which in itself is a nice thing honestly. There's
a few games I'd double dip on if they released it for the PS4.

 

It was a very good game. Maybe a top ten 360 game for me. I might have to give it another go on the one. To be honest, I wouldn't have minded a few other games released with upgraded graphics. I hope they release some of the classics remastered at some
point.

 

CODukes4: I agree, it WAS a great game, LOL. We got the special edition with the little figure inside and know we got 100 worth of the story mode. I am just not into repeats anymore with so many new choices daily to choose from. It was pure laziness
that Tomb Raider was not working on a next gen game that was different than the one played. Tomb Raider is the type of game that I believe 90 percent of Tomb Raider fans have already played the 360 version. Its that type of customer base. I ran into them
at the launch party.

 

Kinda hate doing this but here's a link with a comparison between old gen (PS3) & new gen (PS4). At least it will give a good indication of the graphical bump for the X1 as well

[/quote] I don't expect much of a difference if any between the PS4 and XO versions. I'm looking forward to playing this on the XO.

 

Already played the 360 version, but definitely gonna rent this.

 

@Doc, Right! And it looks gorgeous. Still not sure if I'll buy it again (maybe when the price drops).

 

Just ordered my copy from Amazon, with the work they've done too the game, it's a bargain at £37

 

I shall be picking this up on next gen, only had a very quick go of it on the Xbox 360.

I just mentioned in another thread though, we started to see a trend of HD Remakes on 360/PS3, hope it doesn't become a trend on next gen consoles. I'd rather developers concentrate on totally "new" games rather than older titles with prettier visuals.

 

I would love to see a next gen remake of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory though.
