Tomb Raider download

Hi all,

My brothers son is getting an xbox one for christmas and believe it or not they dont have the internet at there house??

My brother has asked if i can take the xbox one to my house and update it on my network before he has it.

My question is, say i set him up with months xbox live gold so i can take advantage of some of the xbox one deals with gold offers like "tomb raider" this week, will they still work once i have downloaded them and he goes to play it at his house, bearing
in mind he cant access the internet to sign into xbox live, only sign into his profile.

tomb raider is a free game this month and when I try to download it just says cant download tomb raider

NVM, found my answer on the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition FAQ:

Will Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition be available as a digital download?

Yes, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will be available as a digital download on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at launch.

 

They should work as long as you make the xbox the home console.

Although to be honest I would get the disc versions of the games if he doesn't have the internet.

Less likely to get problems that way. There is also the fact having digital games would cause a problem if he needs to make room on his hard drive for new games as it would be difficult for him to reinstall any digital games without his own internet connection.

Also I would imagine that tomb raider discs will be quite cheap now anyway as the game has been out a while. So buy the disc then install while connected to the internet to make sure you get any title updates that are available.

 

Cheers, I keep trying to persuade the get the internet as it is the 21st century and it does make the whole experience alot better.

I will have a look out for the disc version, guess thats the thing with Microsoft trying to sell old games by making them look appealing on deals but you can pick em up cheaper elsewhere or preowned.
