The only way to fix all of our issues is if we contact Square Enix, I've emailed them and they've told me to make sure the disc isn't cratched, try it in another console etc etc all that same crap. Email them and tell them what you're experiencing and that
way they'll get the point that this game has bugs in it.

Ok. I bought a digital version so a scratched disc is clearly out of the picture. I know its going to sound crazy but the xbox support suggested I plug my box directly into the wall versus use a power strip (which has a number of other devices already
plugged into it). I have a whole house surge protector so I am not worried about my electronics getting fried without a power strip. I deleted and reinstalled the game after plugging it into the wall and I haven't had an issue since. I'm only about 15%
in but will let you know if any issues arise. Also make sure the powerbrick cables are firmly plugged in as well (mine seemed a bit wobbly). Hope this helps as I've had issues with installing disc games as well.

 

I had the same problem at that place where the pilot gets killed by the guy with the shield.

i tried everything, reinstall the game, cope the savegame.... nothing worked....

But maybe i have an answer to that "bug"... It sounds ridiculous but try to avoid the ramp! Just jump at the right side down to the fire place.....

Just jump at the upper right corner of the ramp in a bow down... its so stupid, that i cannot laugh about it.

 

My game crashed in many different areas. I actually had to start over at 89% completion because my save game did the load a black screen and play sound but no game... so glad im done with single player now.

 

Well, the bugs re-surfaced. You can see my clips if you're interested. Game kept freezing between the transition from cut scene and when Lara leaps for the helicopter. Tried reloading and power cycling and the game now gets hung up in the load screed.
Problem seemed to start when I decided to go back to pick up some GPS caches I missed. Came back to an area where I killed 2 guards - guards were gone but flashlights were floating in air. I had another issue with the grenade launcher going through a wall
and the helicopter leap was the last one and made the game unplayable. Really bummed as I was 56% through. I give up at this point and will only be back when the game is "significantly" patched.

 

Same thing just happened to me at the part with the parachuting pilot. I've tried rebooting, avoiding the ramp...it just keeps going out to the dashboard. Super annoying.

 

I wrote a mail to square enix in german and they answered me in german. So i translate it.

Kinect MUST NOT be unplugged, the game needs kinect to work correct.

Soundeffects & Music MOST NOT under 20%

What worked for me was restarting the game on another save slot. I know this is annoying (to start over), but even on my 2nd playthrough the game froze once at a different stage. A patch should be released soon for this game, there are a lot of reported
issues for it. Don't worry you're not alone

OR, try this:

- Load your game

- Save the game on another save slot

- Return to the menu

- Load the new save slot

- Run down the ramp and keep your fingers crossed

my other games are working fine but Tomb Raider crashed again

 

Same except problem with my digital copy. Pilot down, guy with riot shield, I jump the gap and bang it resets. Sigh...

 

Tried everything. Cold boot, changing save slots, switched to 720p ... nothing ... so pissed. I have been playing this game straight for two days and now I'm forced to stop.

 

Dont know what I did different but this time I walked very slowly around the outer edge of the cliff and made it to the save point. Fingers crossed

 

On February 11 we will get an update for our X1, maybe this will help

 

Dealing with Square Enix Customer SUpport has been a joke. I sent them an e-mail describing my problem, specifically telling them that I had the digital version. I got a pre-canned e-mail suggesting that I check the game disc for damage, or maybe clean
my drive. After a few more e-mails they said that they had never heard of this problem. I sent them a link to this thread and they said that they would forward it to the proper department. Other than that, they basically told me that there was nothing they
could do for me, and their only other suggestion was to start another save file, and save in different slots often. So I spent my morning reaccomplishing what I had already done. I guess it was cool because I found some stuff I missed, but still annoying.
Anyhow, I made it past that point.

 

Okay guys, it´s definitve the game itself maybe programming error or something. i tried the game on three (!!!) Xbox one consoles and the game is still freezing. my disc drive is not broken other discs are working without any problems. these are the same
problems the pc version had at launch on Nvidia cards. Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics or whatever should release a patch for this.

i contacted SE Support twice. it´s a joke as Tahoe Jeff said. 100% agreeed.
