Did you try power cycling your Xbox One after you installed it?
support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5-8 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You should see the green splash screen upon reboot. It may take a minute
to boot all the way to the home screen. If you did not see the green Xbox splash screen, please redo it.

How is saying "Cortana go to Tomb Raider Definitive Edition" any more childish than saying "Xbox go to Tomb Raider Definitive Edition"?

 

my tomb raider game is also not working and i have bought a hard copy version, installed it multiple times, reset my xbox and it will still just crash seconds after i try to play, is this just tomb raider because my other games work fine

 

Yeah same, mine keeps on crashing to the Dashboard at 30% game completion [SPOILER ALERT!] Theres a scene where im running from a load of buildings falling down off the sides of mountains because a man parachuted out of a plane and when you get to him two
men are attacking him, he shoots one of them then the other has a metal man made riot shield with a machete, he then stabs him, Lara's radio goes off alerts the riot shild guy and then the cutscene ends you fight him jump over a small gap and then 15 paces
forward and it crashes and it keeps on doing it and i've tried everything. SORT IT OUT WITH AN UPDATE CRYSTAL DYNAMICS OR SQUARE ENIX IS P***ING ME OFF!!!

 

I have a disc copy and it keeps crashing in the cliffside village and I am at 25% completed. It crashes back to the home screen after the plane crashes and when the pilot gets attacked , you then jump the gap and go down the short stairs, about halfway down
the stairs it goes to the home screen

 

Yep exactly where i am so it might be happening to few other people aswell in the same place so there should be patch SOON i hope

 

played to the same point a second time and the game doesn't freeze this time....

 

F**k doing that again put about 5-6 hours up to the 30% game i cant be asked to do it again

 

Exact same issue on my end, pilot has landed, killed the guy using a shield, jumped a gap and ran down a small ramp, halfway down the game crashes to the home screen... so glad i'm not the only one experiencing this

 

Again, i really cant be asked to play through again unless i've completed it so that i can go back through on the hardest difficulty. So they should put a patch out hopefully

 

Hi again guys, i think its been fixed, havn't played on it for about 2 days went on my save of 30% completion of gameplay killed the riot shield guy jumped the gap and theres a camp ands it autosaved and didn't crash or freeze. Don't know if they did a hotfix
but if its not working for you give me a shout and i might know how to fix but not 100% sure

 

I just restarted my game and the 2nd time I was able to get through it without a freeze, there was no update or anything though, go ahead and tell me your fix anyway...

 

try switching to 720p it seemed to work for me
