Yes, Sony's PS4 is more powerful than xboxone, its out selling xboxone massively, its so far more reliable than the xboxone. Its predicted to hugely out sell the xboxone over a 5 year period. What a rough time they're having lololololololol.
Well the part about the PS 4 being technically more powerful is correct. Unfortunately that didn't do much to help the PS 3. It was still consistently outperformed by the XBox 360, a less powerful machine, often on the same games ("Oblivion", "Skyrim",
"Devil May Cry 4", "Bayonetta" just to name a few).

As for being far more reliable there seem to be plenty of problems with the PS 4 itself not working correctly before you even look at it's lack of next gen games.

As for being predicted to outself the XBox ONE over a 5 year period I think they're off to a good start. They've already sold more consoles than Microsoft.

    Just not in the USA.

The longer it goes Sony should be fine... unless Microsoft expand the countries they supply to. Sony are selling in 48 countries compared to MS's 13.

So yeah, the Sony guys could do with cheering up. Maybe this will do it for them.

They seem to get really excited to find out some of their games have the same resolution as old 360 titles... even if they don't look as good as "Ryse".

  2. Well of course there's a lack of real next gen games. It's the awkward launch period when very little worthwhile is available on either console. Oblivion performs significantly better on PS3 and I can't see any difference between the two versions of DMC4,
except the xbox takes longer to load and stutters near waterfalls and the PS3 has a mandatory install 20 minute.

There's tons of great Next Gen games on the ONE.

There's Killzone on the PS 4.

Your statement about "Oblivion" is wrong. The proof of that is on Bethesda's official forums. Same for "Skyrim".

DMC 4 requires the 20 minute install whereas 360 users just play the game.

I can't say I blame you for avoiding "Bayonetta" all together.

I'm not participating in ***-measuring contests about with console is better. I don't care about that. Bayonetta is incredible on 360 and rubbish on PS3, that's obvious enough. As for your proof I poured 300 hours+ into both console versions of Oblivion
and all I can say is that the Oblivion gates on the 360 reduced the game to an unplayable slideshow.

    -

Having to wait for DMC4 to install is a disadvantage but then again so is playing the game with a 360 pad. It's actually one major reason why I was really bummed the Bayonetta PS3 port was such a disaster.

    -

Skyrim I don't really know about. I heard the PS3 version had save glitches or something.

From my 1500 hours of experience of "Oblivion" on the 360 I would recommend you clear your cache.

Oblivion gates should cause no issues at all.

I'm not saying it's not happening for you, just that it shouldn't be.

However people try to put off their concerns, this is a worrying trend if true.

    -

The Xbox One is technically more powerful than my PC but my system can run Tomb Raider at 60fps at the High Settings with TressFX enabled and a step higher if that graphical frippery is turned off.

    -

So why can't the Xbox One? We know 60fps can be done with great looking games because Forza manages it just fine. Why are other developers having to make sacrifices to their games?
I couldn't answer myself as I really have no clue how these consoles work/run but as one of the writers said on Eurogamer yesterday ( Regarding Tomb Raider on next gen ) maybe this time the roles are reversed, meaning when the Xbox 360 and PS3 were released
developers found the PS3 tricky to develop for and it took them time to get use to it, more so than the 360, now they are finding Xbox One OS a little tricky so it will take time?

This is great ammo for the fanboys though but as I always say regarding Xbox One, look at Ryse Son of Rome, along with Killzone Shadowfall, visually they blow anything out of the water so far on next gen so if Xbox One is producing this sort of standard this
early on, what will we see a few years down the line? I don't think Xbox One has anything to worry about personally ( regarding graphics/visuals )

    Anyway, about Tomb Raider ...

I never played a lot of it on last gen, from what I did play though it was brilliant so can't wait to pick this up next week.

( For those picking it up in-store at GAME ) I believe they will have some sort of offer next week, trade in so many titles and get it for £??, might be worth checking out.

  8. TROLL OF HORROR hey there Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is 30fps :)

I'm locking this thread up due to it being a comparison thread, which is against the

    Forum Guidelines
. The reason for that is because these sorts of threads usually end in turmoil and console loyalty wars. Although I know most are mature enough to have a reasonable discussion on the matter, it wouldn't be neat practice of me to allow this
here but not elsewhere. I know you guys will understand where I am coming from with this and I want to thank you for that.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out to me.

    Many thanks,

I haven't played it before so looking forward to it. To be honest I don't think 30fps is a huge concern, especially with third person games. A stable framerate for this is the most important thing.
