Tomb Raider DE & Thief Half Price

I'll probably buy Tomb Raider as I loved that game on the 360 and want to have another play through.

Not sure about Thief, haven't heard any good reactions from that game from anyone.

Thief was £49.99 yesterday and today with 50% off is £27.99

Tomb Raider was £44.99 yesterday (I'm told, I didn't check this personally) and today with 50% off is £23.99

Tomb Raider DE should have been half price when it re-launched.

 

Finished Tomb Raider last night. Awesome game but the ending was horrible. I have fought final bosses harder than that in many other games the final boss in TR was a complete joke.

 

GG tomb raider is a must have thief i hated i didnt even complete the single player got bored of it but thats me

 

Been reading the responses to this news on a few gaming sites and it's getting an amazing response right across the board. I really hope this will be an ongoing trend as indeed it already is on the 360. Looking forward to adding two more games to my ever
growing collection this weekend!

 

I may trade off Lego Movie, get a MS points card and download both of these..... 2 for 1.... pending what Lego is worth.. (just couldn't get into that game)

 

I take both at $60 dollar plus tax.

 

I'll get them when they are $5 apiece.

 

I have no interest in either of these titles. I'll wait until they're on G4G. lol

Earlier today I watched a few live streams of both games in order to learn more about whether they would be worth purchasing at the new $30 sales price. The experience was awesome! First, I went to the Xbox Games Store on my Xbox One. There I found active
streams being broadcasted. Once selected and in the stream, I found the broadcasters to be a wonderful help - they answered many of my questions and shared their opinions on what they thought of both games. They even called me out by name, which was interesting
considering we were having an audio-to-text conversation. I'm still not sure about whether I'll pick the games up, but it made for a fun afternoon, and I wasn't even playing the games!

I've used Twitch to watch games in the past (via developer previews, tournaments, etc.), but I have never actively used it to research games I have considered buying before - it was a first time experience for me. Since game demos are few and far in-between
nowadays, this is a remarkable tool to use to learn about the games you might be interested in (even those that aren't Xbox games) and I have to give props to Microsoft for making Twitch available directly through its integration with the Xbox One console
- it will help the gaming community grow both inside and outside of Xbox Live. So, thanks, Microsoft - I appreciate it! GJ, from GG.

For those of you who haven't used or tried the Twitch app, you're missing out in oh so many ways - I highly recommend it for the many reasons stated above.

 

Thief is actually a game I was interested in about a year ago and still am, but even at $44 digital it isn't a must have and will put that $44 to something a bit more next gen developed later this year. If it gets cheaper than that I'll grab it. It's good
to see some digital sales though and hope there is more to come.

 

Well, I picked up Tomb Raider and Thief yesterday. Played Tomb Raider well into the night. I bought the 360 version last year and played it to death, completing everything in it. I've got to say that the definitive edition looks absolutely stunning! I keep
stopping and looking around at the scenery. Just amazing. If you are in two minds about picking it up or if you played it last year as I did, I can highly recommend it. It's well and truly worth the upgrade. If you've never played it before BUY IT NOW!

I had a quick look at Thief, 'bout 30 mins gameplay and i'm very impressed so far. Plays really smooth and looks fantastic. The thing that struck me most was the atmosphere. The music and sound effects really draw you in. So far, so good.
