Tomb Raider - black screen of death

Having the same issue guys. Tried what Jules suggested with no luck.

 

I turned off the voice commands and gesture options and let the glitched save load while on the dashboard (hit the Xbox "home" button as you load the save). This worked for me...coincidence, maybe?

 

Same here. Jules2512's solution didn't work

 

After trying everything else (reinstalling the game, deleting locally and syncing etc) I tried following Jules2512 instructions and amazingly that sorted the problem for me

I was stuck at the Cliffside Bunker, which seems to be a common place from my research into this...

 

I'm having this issue now. I've tried all the fixes listed. None have worked. Anyone else encountered this and have other ideas?

 

Just got it at 56% !!!! thats BS .. Put so much time and effort in this game to get this only this far!!!! I want my money back.. so disappointing to have this happen and from what I see, its been happening alot to people. This should of been fixed! This

A heads-up... people on reddit have reported that this happens AGAIN on Rise of the Tomb Raider: so if you decide to give even more money to Square Enix, despite they did not fix the bug on the previous game (as I did), at least remember to alternate game
save slots!

 

don't forget: this problem is solved by "adjusting your volume" (sarcasm). They literally told us that would fix it. The whole thing is frozen and no button presses whatsoever are even possible so how would one even adjust the volume (as if adjusting the
volume would solve anything anyway)...i wonder if they were dumb enough to actually mean the volume of your AR receiver or TV and not the actual software...

 

I never had this issue with the single player game but the multiplayer IT ALWAYS does this. Nothing you can do about it.

 

Been battling with this issue for a long time now. Had some free time so I thought I would check to see if there are any updates on the issue. Found something that actually worked.

Issue for me is the same as everyone else. 60% game complete, load save and you get a black screen with background noise. Solution that worked for me: Pressed xbox button and zoomed out to home screen. Pressed start button with game highlighted and pressed
"quit". Started game again. Loaded save game. While game is loading, pressed xbox button and zoomed out to xbox home screen. Pressed right shoulder button and flipped to community tab. Chilled there for a few seconds. Flipped left back into home screen and
went back into the game. Save game loaded successfully!

 

Wow, the solution from Deimos96 actually works! I kept searching for solutions and this is literally the only place I found this one. If anyone else is having this issue, please try it. Be sure to wait in the community screen until the load has completely
finished. I was shocked!

 

Yeah, it works great! It loads the saved game and had to pause the game

'cause you are actually in the xbox dash. That seems to prevents the game

freezing.
