Did you buy Gold or did you buy Game Pass? There's not a "Gold Game Pass". If you bought standard Game Pass, that does not include Gold and would not allow you to play online.

So if I buy 12 months of Xbox Gold, does it auto convert to Ultimate Game Pass or should I just purchase the 12 months of Ultimate Game Pass?

I have a related question. I had xbox hame pass ultimate but it recently expired and as there were no interesting games out, i reverted to Xbox live gold for 12 months. Now my question is

If i again try and sign up for game pass ultimate how does it work. I have 12 months of gold, does i get it converted again to ultimate lime the initial offer or am I charged a monthly over and above the remaining months (as it says it will convert gold
upto 36 months)
