To transfer into ROS or not to transfer, that is the question...

Hello everyone

Today is May 18th 2014 and Reaper Of Souls will be out in 93 days (unless it gets delayed), now here is the question that I have to ask you. Are you going to transfer your characters from Diablo 3: Classic into Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls knowing that there
is A LOT of changes to the existing skill sets, greatly altering the way that your characters will play.

From what I understand, you WILL NOT be able to select a single character from your Game Save Data as ALL of the characters will be converted into ROS Game Save Data; thus making these characters completely unusable in Diablo 3: Classic (because the Game
Save Data is no longer compatible). There will be no "undo" button (I really hope that I'm wrong on this one) so if you don't like the way your character's handle with the updated skills, you're unfortunately out of luck because that character is stuck like
that.

As for my response to this question, I will not be transfering my characters over because I really don't like the fact that the Wizard lost all of their Life Regeneration / Life Steal abilities. With that said, I am currently using a new gamertag and starting
all over again with a Witch Doctor just to play ROS. I understand why Blizzard decided to nerf the Wizard, so I will keep Princess Mia (Wizard) in Diablo 3: Classic while Princess Iza (Witch Doctor) will be going into Diablo 3: Reaper Of Souls. This is going
to be an awesome adventure indeed. Are you ready

HELP: how to transfer save file on xbox 360? Deleted offline account. Save file useless?

Each save file is tied to a profile and it cannot be recovered without the original profile present.



The original Diablo 3 and Reaper of Souls are two different games. The save files are incompatible without transferring the data within the game (transfer from Diablo 3 into ROS).



However, the process is not reversible (i.e. you cannot transfer characters from ROS into Diablo 3).



Therefore, unless you still have the original Diablo 3 disk, your save will not be usable.

How to change the region in my XBox Live Account?

The new tool is available and I have a question. The website mentions that there is some content that won't transfer/migrate to the new region. My question however is about the content that does transfer. Does the purchase history transfer too? Will I be
able to download purchased games again (if available in the new region), even to a new console?

Or are all my purchases lost when I switch the region?

 

They removed all Life Steal cuase its just OP imo, if you dont have lifesteal on skill (like blood magic weapon for wizard) or lifesteal on weapon you are gimping yourself in classic. So its a MUST saldy.

They "fixed" this in RoS so you have diffrent and more ways to think about surviving, both funnier and "harder".

Damage should NOT be equal to survivable.

And if you not transfering over you will not have access to Bounty, Rift's, new skills. All new legenderys etc. Its the most intressting thing!

 

I have 0 life steal on my wizard on classic and I get by just fine. When soloing, i find that the CM build works best for a wizard with no life steal. When in a group i use my own custom build to reach the upper 800k dps. I will be making the switch eventually.
Due to finances it may not be right away, but the sooner im able to, the sooner ill do it. Cant wait to find me one of those rifts with goblins hanging out like a mass horde. Also I'm interested in testing out my new skills we will be getting too

Princess Mia (Wizard) and Princess Zra (Barbarian) are very important to me, that is why I'm protecting them from the "nerfing" that Reaper Of Souls will impose on them.

I'm not going to lie, I really wanted to bring Mia and Zra into ROS.

But what I don't understand is why Blizzard needs to completely make the Diablo 3 Classic game save data incompatible once they're transfered into Diablo 3 ROS. Isn't there some way for them (Blizzard) to leave the game save data of Diablo 3 Classic alone
and then copy that information. Then, upon that game save data being copied, it will then be converted into Diablo 3 ROS game save data. Thus, both versions (Classic & ROS) will still be playable.

I'm really hoping that I'm completely wrong about the way that Blizzard will handle the transfer process, but it seems that the "once transferred they're gone" option will be used.

With that being said, Princess Iza (Witch Doctor) will be experiencing all of the new stuff that ROS has to offer.

Princess Mia's damage output is only 416K (2.67 Attacks Per Second, 42.5% Critical Hit Chance, and +333% Critical Hit Damage).

I use Galvanizing Ward (Passive, Life Regeneration), Magic Weapon + Blood Magic (1.5% Life Steal), and Spectral Blades + Healing Blades (5.0% Life Steal) when I play on Inferno Master 5.

Well you could move the save to USB, backup it to PC then convert 1 save to RoS and then have other for Classic

But dont say "nerfing", Reaper of Souls dont nerf, its fix and rebalance

Atm Life Steal is kinda OP. But you will get alot of ways to survive instead of it, that needs more from the players.

Some skills, like perma archon, perma beserker is gone, but this builds are really OP. Same with critWizard and 100% uptime on frost nova

Instead you get ALOT diffrent legenderys that makes alot diffrent builds, so you can play how you want.

Princess Mia and Princess Zra "might" still go to ROS if I like what I see when playing Princess Iza. However at the moment, they are off limits for ROS.

I wasn't getting offended so no problem I just mean that even if your main skills get remade, you will get other to replace with or just still like your current skills.

They few skills that really get reworked on RoS is either plain "OP" or just not working on console anyways.

See Archon, not working on console cuase of low mob density

CM WIZ: 100%uptime on FrostNova is just plain OP

Barb with perma Beserker: same as cm wiz, you get immune to controll things (Like frozen) and get a high dmg boost. And is easy to maintain on bosses and where there is many mobs/elites

Instead we get alot of new legenderys that we can build our heros after. Like wizard have many diffrent wands that alternate diffrent skills I hope you will move to Ultimate Evil Edition and ROS as fast as possible

I don't use the Archon build and the Berserker build for my characters at all so I honestly can't relate to your statements in regards to as how they are OP.

However, I do agree with the fact that "Life Regeneration & Life Steal" are OP. But with all due respect, so are all of the enemies on Inferno Master 1 to Inferno Master 5. I hope that Blizzard took into account that by removing "Life Regeneration & Life
Steal" in ROS, the enemies need to be weakened accordingly because it would be totally messed up if the enemies remain at the same offensive / defensive capabilities.

Yes, its not unbalanced in any way after they removed life steal.

Life regeneration is still in RoS, is only life steal that is removed. And all is balanced after that.

Instead of lifesteal you have life on hit that is the same way, just not scale with your dps (thats what making life steal too good), and you have other ways too stay alive, shields, health globes, potions etc.

Honestly, I will jump into ROS with Princess Mia and Princess Zra so long as the re-balancing makes the game "tough but fair". If it is going to be "tough & unfair" then they (Mia & Zra) are staying in Diablo 3 Classic.

Like I said, I will test the waters with Princess Iza first

After all the videos and stream I have watched from PC RoS, its looking way from "unfair", its alot like classic. As I said, only diffrent is that you will think abit diffrent on passive/skills, hp reg and life on hit etc. Instead of having lifesteal+enough
defense to survive so you can start lifesteal

But depending on how the transfer will work, go ahead and watch with 1 char first. But I would say, anyway, Bountys, Rift, new ability and passive and ofc all new legenderys is too damn good to be skiping

In the PC version of ROS there's only 1 playthrough making it easier to build a character if it's the same on the 360 version I will start a new build and not touch my classic toons.
