To Play Games With Gold,Should You Also Have Xbox Live?

I used the 2 week gold trial that came with the one s that I recently bought but now that the trial expired I can't play the game I got for free!One of my friend told m that you can only play this games as long as you have Xbox gold(when I try to open the
game,it shows me that I need Xbox gold to play it) but the other said that once you get it it's forever yours and you can paly them even though you don't have gold anymore and he also told me that the reason it doesn't let me play it it's because the game
needs internet connection and that is why it doesn't let me play it anymore!

*The game that I got was Sleeping Dogs DE!

Free Games With Gold?

The games with gold rules still apply, so you should be able to continue play the 360 games with gold on xbox one.

Ah, that could be the problem. Xbox 360 games with gold games are your to keep regardless of your Live status. However, xbox one games with gold require a gold membership in order to play them. Once you renew your membership then you should have access
to the content again.

We need to have an Xbox Live Gold subscription. If what you have is the Xbox Game Pass for Console, it is a library of games that you can play but will not give you access to online multiplayer.

Also, it should show Xbox Live Gold subscription as well because that's just what we need to play online.

As others have mentioned, the home sharing will help with digital games/xbox live gold. Game progress will be stored in the cloud, so they can keep their game progress regardless of which console they play on.

With game sharing they can also be playing the same game at the same time.

It's because you need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play the game, YuhanLK. Once you purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription you should be able to play the game without any issues.
