    There's lots of different options to get Xbox Live Gold. Aside from the usual paying for Gold, you could check out Microsoft Rewards and see if you have enough points saved up to redeem some Xbox Live.

    The 14-day trial does not convert your account to gold status. It merely gives you access to many of the features a gold subscription gets you. Have you tried playing online or using any gold status features yet?
