  1. TIVO service used thru XBOX ONE freezes

I have the TIVO set up through XBOX ONE just like a regular cable which works great but there is
a issue with the service freezing. It happens when we are watching live TV and use the TIVO remote to change the channel or access TIVO control panel. They system either goes dark for about 30 seconds or will freeze showing 6 blurry screens
(3 across the top and 3 across the bottom of the screen) at once for 30 secs ....after the 30 secs it starts working and things are fine. This will happen on and off whenever watching TV. Any ideas on what the issue is or wondering if this is a bug or glitch
and Xbox has a Firmware update soon??

    :)

  5. Yup!

    1. What resolutions are you running natively from the TiVo unit?

    2. Using HDMI 2.0 or better, all the way?

    3. Layout (i.e. STB (cable box) HDMI Xbox One HDMI TV)

    4. Make/model of TiVo?

From the sounds of it, it sounds like a recoding issue. Does this happen only on recorded shows or during live 'stream'?

  6. Great Thnx!

    1) Running all video formats using auto detect (480i - 1080p) I have a new Samsung SmartTV

    2) All HDMI

    3) Tivo goes thru the Xbox One...ie Tivo is hooked up to Xbox One and the Xbox controls the system

    4) Romio Tivo

The freeze happens randomly whenever changing channels or switching around using the TIVO menu. Recorded and Live both.

I have the same exact issue with my Tivo. It's been mistreating ever since I set this up a week ago. Here is my setup as well:

    1. Panasonic 65inch plasma TV also running 480i to 1080i and sometimes 1080p

    2. All HDMI

    3. Same as above, Tivo goes thru the Xbox One, Tivo is hooked up to Xbox One and the Xbox controls the system. I also have a stereo for audio out no HDMI connect to that at all.

    4. Tivo HD with THX. Mine is the model before Romio I believe. I only have 2 tuners and it has a Cable card in it.

I am also getting freezing randomly whenever changing channels or switching around using the TIVO menu. Recorded and Live both and sometimes if I turn the TV off and forget to have the xbox turn off everything.

    Help!!!

  9. Envelope eight,

I won’t let you know when an update for this particular STB is to be released. It would put folks in an odd position, which I will not do. To answer why, ‘nobody ever answers’.. I do… All the time. PM’s answer threads, this is very seen and very answered
thread (#10). The reason why posts stack, is because although an issue may appear to be ‘x’ does not mean the answer is ‘x’. When there are 65+ posts there are a myriad of possibilities there. Most don’t answer questions directly as you folks did here (except
the HDMI question HDMI is not just some HDMI cable there are tons of variables there, and I do not except the “all HDMI cables are the same” theology). Saying I have a Motorola cable box, it is like saying I have a VW. I hope you see I am not giving you a
‘hard time’ at all, nor am I saying the issue is not important because it really is important. What I am saying is most resolutions are found locally, of which you are not alone on that mission. Contact me anytime, post on the forums.

    Next, have you tried:

    1. HDMI 2.0. If you don’t know what type it is, it is likely not 2.0

    2. Using a ‘p’ output from the STB (cable/sat box).

If you do these and none works, please let me know.
