    Titanfall X360 on demand?

    Dear Microsoft Support

We've bought a code for buying titanfall from the Xboxlive store on the launch day since Microsoft used to upload the new games on their server at the same day it release.

At the beginning we asked about the day titanfall will be on demand in twitter and they said on the launch day but nothing appears and now they are saying there is no exact day for such thing.

We're still waiting while no one give us clear answer, anyone can help with this one?

    Thank you

    Regards.. Reda4Ever

    :)

What will be your first Xbox One game?

depends on what codecs and formats x1 supports streaming over local network and its library/scraper functionality. if its great and can replace my htpc then probably dr. if not then ill probably wait for titanfall, possibly halo 5 as i can get titanfall
on x360. really depends how titanfall develops.

Which game or games are you waiting for to come out for the Xbox One?

titanfall, halo 5, and fable anniversary (though that one is x360).

    -

sunset overdrive has me the most intrigued of the games farther on the horizon with not much information about them.

    -

division is also on my radar.

    Titanfall X360 on demand?

    Hey there Redaa,

Usually on Xbox 360, Games on Demand have no release parity with retail versions. This changed for Xbox One where the digital versions are all released on release day, but it's the same system on 360 that has been around for years and the only exception
I can think of is Call of Duty: Ghosts where the digital version did actually release on the same day.

Unfortunately there is usually no indication when the digital copy will become available on the digital marketplace and there is no set rule for when they do become available (it varies form game to game).

E.A. have said they are not releasing Titanfall as a downloadable game on the Xbox 360 so your only option is to buy a physical copy.

  6. Ok. I understand that they aren't releasing it as a digital download. However, some people (like myself) have already paid for said copy...and now we aren't going to receive it?? And the only compensation they have given was to tell me that I can purchase
something else from the digital store. That's complete ***. I didn't pay for something else...I paid for Titanfall. When you actually pay for something there's an expectation of receiving that product not some other random crap. They should either reimburse
the money spent, send a hard copy to those that paid for a digi download, or give a voucher so we can receive the diig download. Anything less is unaccepyable, and frankly thievery.

  7. To be honest I think this is in part due to EA not releasing the game in digital copy AND GameStop for selling supposed digital copies when in fact turn out to be nothing more than just currency to buy the game.

Also what Maxen said is true usually it takes about 2 weeks for digital copies to be available on the xbox marketplace... and that has been going on for a long time mainly because of the publishers not because of Microsoft.

    :/

To me just seems another tactic to try sell more xbox ones, there's is no logical reason why a hard copy would play any better than a digital copy! Surely you would of though EA would have been more pro digital sales of the game giving them more profit rather
than getting no profit from a secondhand market via re-sales of hard copies!

There's a technical reason: the game is loading from the HDD cache and the DVD at the same time. If the game image were installed to HDD or had been downloaded, trying to read from both areas of the HDD at the same time would cause thrashing and reduce
    performance.

Those who were gaming on the 360 when HDD installation was new might remember that Halo 3 needed to
not be installed for the same reason until there was an update.

Exactly they released a patch to solve the issue, so why not with titanfall? in a 2.0 sata hdd it would just need a partition patch surely?

CAPTAIN DACADO - many of the more graphic intensive/larger games have taken to installing a portion of the game (textures for example) on the hard drive while accessing the game executable files from the DVD to improve performance. Battlefield 3 (and 4 presumedly),
Grand Theft Auto 5, Rage, and Titanfall all use this technique - either required or optional depending upon the game. This improves performance as it relieves a bottleneck by splitting the information input over 2 buses instead of all the data flowing through
one bus. Having both the install and textures located on the same drive forces all the data through one bus creating a bottleneck which does affect the performance.

It is in no way a scheme to force more people to buy an Xbox One, it is a programming trick to get greater performance from the 360 for more demanding games.

    Titanfall X360 on demand?

So why don't they open up the option to install games on usb flash drives? So I'm guessing the xbox 360 Ram cache is not big enough to store temporal textures?

The USB interface is much slower than the HDD's interface or the DVD drive's.
