Titanfall won't launch

Just bought my shiny new xbox one titanfall bundle today. Downloaded titanfall and it won't launch. I see the EA and Respawn splash screens but after the trademark screen it goes black. What gives? Is everyone having this issue?

Titanfall won't work.

When I try to launch Titanfall it says "retrieving matchmaking list" and then goes to "attempting connection" and won't actually let me play, it just repeats. I've tried troubleshooting but it still won't launch.

 

Where is the love for Day One supporters?

You got to play the Xbox One at launch while others had to wait. I would rather have brought an Xbox One at launch, than wait 3/4 months and buy the £399 Titanfall bundle. Microsoft won't please everyone; give 3 months of XBL,
people would complain that they deserve 12 months. Even if Microsoft gave Titanfall to every early adapter you would still have them complaining about how they don't like Titanfall.

 

I'm not sure if this is the same problem i had, but try anyway. Hold the bright xbox button on the front of the console down for 10 seconds, wait a few minutes, turn back on and play titanfall, hopefully this helps!

So frustrating. My first and only Xbox One game and it doesn't work. I already uninstalled and reinstalled.

 

Microsoft - I am a long time Xbox owner and just purchased the Xbox One yesterday.. I expect your immediate attention to this matter. Please do not disappoint me. If I have a bad Xbox One I expect a new one in my hands by tomorrow.

 

Hi! Just sharing this as a fellow shared this to me..

How about you try the following:

1. Just to be sure that it has nothing to do with your profile, remove your profile from the console.

Here's how: Go to Settings > Sign In, Security, and Passkey > Remove me from this Xbox

2. Press and hold the power button on the console for 5-10 seconds until it turns off.

3. Unplug the power cables from the console, power supply unit, and wall outlet

4. While they are unplugged, press and hold the power button again for 10 seconds

5. Plug the power cables back in

6. Turn the console back on

7. Sign back in to your profile

8. Play the game

Please advise if that worked in your case, for others who might be having the same issue.

I downloaded another game last night (Ghosts) and I am having the same problem. It's looking more and more like an issue with the console. Although, when I chatted with MS tech support last night they blamed the EA servers.

Any other ideas?

 

Exact same problem here. I even had my X1 replaced, same problem with downloaded games. I opened up the Titanfall ports on my router and had my connection speed tested. No problems there. The fact that I'm having the same problem now on two different X1's
maybe suggests there is a problem with downloaded games via Verizon FIOS (my ISP). I have re-installed countless times. All to no avail. I'm hesitant to buy the game disc, worrying that there will be other problems. Why oh why did I part with my trusted X360

 

Best thing to do is contact Respawn on twitter

I would try and reset your router and then power down the xbox

 

You can also try to unplug Xbox One, wait around 3-5 minutes. Then plug it back and try again. Also you can try to remove your profile, clear system cache. Then turn Xbox One ON again, download profile and Titanfall and try again.

 

Thank you for the suggestions. I have tried everything listed here and elsewhere. I have also spent many hours on the phone with Xbox support trying to resolve this. Long story short, there is a problem with the Xbox hardware. MS is shipping me a new
one. It will take about 5-10 days which is a bummer.

Had the same exact issue when I bought my titanfall bundle a month ago. reinstalled 5 times trying every suggestion mentioned multiple times. Never got past the intro video and game locked up everytime. Just recieved my new XBox one through advanced replacement
today and same exact issue. Microsoft's got a big issue on their hands.... lets hope they have the aptitude to solve it.

 

I am having the same issue on two games now, both downloaded. I contacted microsoft they instructed me to try and get a replacement from wal mart and I did and they replaced my system. Then I crashed at a different spot on Forza 5 and titanfall will not
even launch. I also have fios, I am sick of having to download over 200 gbs of broken games. If i have 2 xboxs that wont work and multiple people had replacements and they are having issues there must be a problem.
