Titanfall will never be what CoD was IMO

TF is more fast past to me compare to cod.

I never played MW3 or Ghost but this new COD coming out looks pretty awesome IMO from the little bit ive seen...Graphics look a lot better compared to ghost....titanfall is trying to be like COD and COD is trying to be like titanfall lol

OP, SAME THING can be said for the creators of TITANFALL. What a bust IMO.

 

Call of Duty can appeal to both single and multiplayer gamers. I'm not an FPS fan but enjoyed the hell out of the Modern Warfare campaigns for example.

Titanfall is only going to appeal to the multiplayer gamers. As a single player gamer, Titanfall has nothing to offer me.

So will Titanfall 'kill' Call of Duty? Nope because the latter can tap both types of gamer.

I agree, I used to love CoD, but wasn't too impressed with BO2, and Ghosts is freaking terrible. So not sure what will happen with CoD moving forward, but I think it is safe to say that it is past it's prime.

 

I have owned every cod and played all the way to max prestige big cod fan.but TF is nothing like cod i actually prefer TF

 

this being said i remember reading earlier someone expects TF to sell 2.1million and 6million by end of 2014

 

one thing i will say is since tuesday iv found it harder to find games on ghosts

[/quote]I love single player games and play them quite a bit. A lot more than multiplayer games over the last few years. I got Titanfall and thoroughly love the multiplayer. I haven't played anything outside of co-op games over live (with the exception
of CoD: Ghosts, because I wanted to play with some friends and I didn't play long due to how bad I thought it was and quit.). So your "only going to appeal to multiplayer gamers" argument is not all inclusive as you have worded it.

I like playing single play games and I thoroughly love co-op games. And with Titanfall I am now starting to like multiplay again. It breathes life back into a genre that has not seen much in the way of ingenuity in quite some time. It's definitely top
notch in my opinion.

 

Cod ghost i belive on 360 went from 260k online to 80k online

Not every game out there is going to appeal to everyone. It's just not realistic. But what I can see is Respawn building upon what made their game popular to begin with and expounded upon that, while bringing in newer elements. It's what everyone wants
to see in a game dev. Take what's great from the games that they have made in the past and apply that to newer games (how much you should use is subjective). To me, and this is my opinion and I'm not trying to rag on CoD, but it seems like since the original
devs left IW, CoD has remained stale to me. It reminds me of how Madden Football has been over the years, not much in the way of anything new. Just new jerseys and names.

Plus after seeing Titanfall I am a little saddened that Respawn isn't a dev under MS studios instead of EA (Provided that MS didn't try and hamstring the group.)

 

I think Respawn have avoid going through MS Game Studios to keep their future options open. While Titanfall may remain under Xbox and PC exclusivity, they may want to open out to everyone for a sequel or perhaps launch a new project that could be multi-platform
or even Sony or Nintendo exclusive.

 

Kind of missing the point. You like to play single and multiplayer. There are those who do either/or. Not both.

Call of Duty has the potential to appeal to everyone. Titanfall does not.

I'm not trying to say that Titanfall isn't going to be an absolutely fantastic game. Just that it has no appeal to single player only gamers.

 

There's nothing to say that Titanfall won't have Single player in future games. Even Unreal Tournament 3 had a single player mode when it made it's way on to Xbox 360 and PS3.
