Titanfall vs wolfenstein news

I know many would disagree but i believe wolfenstein hitting 1080/60 news are as big as titanfall if not bigger.

Most of the complaints if not all on X1 is regarding 1080/60 combination, with this game hitting it thats a huge step for x1 especially that this is a multiplat.

i believe if this game can hit par with ps4 then should all games and TF specifically should hit the1080 those guys said that they r using the cloud for computing so a big load is not on x1 what the hell r they doing with the rest of the power? The game
is not as demanding as bf4 + using cloud + not having 34 vs 34 + not having destructive environment as btf4 they should hit 1080

I don't think its big news. Only people who care about 1080/60 are PS4 owners who claim they got the "better system". I'm pretty sure we all knew that in time, all X1 games would/will hit these benchmarks, once devs got in a groove with the system.

But that said, the fact that big two games came out saying they will be 1080/60, and the 65 Indie devs announcement, Sony trolls are gonna need some new material.

 

You know Sony fanboys will be looking for anything and everything.

Are the graphics scaled down on the Xbox One so they could run at 1080p at 60FPS?

How consistent is the framerate on Xbox One compared to PS4?

You know that if the PS4 runs consistently at 60 FPS while the Xbox One occasionally dips into the 40's and 50's, they'll bring it up and act like they won some big mega Earth war and now rule the entire solar system.

I still think this could be a PR win for MS if they use it well

 

Sony trolls gone quiet now i have noticed.but boom when some bad press comes they will be here in a flash

To be honest from my own point of view it's not big news at all. For one I've never cared about resolutions, up until this new generation I never knew what games were playing at, unfortunately today it's plastered everywhere so now I do know. The main thing
for me is how the game plays/runs, if it's got eye watering visuals then bonus.

Now I own both consoles and love them both but this whole power debate in my very honest opinion is blown out of all proportions. Before the consoles launched, the Sony fanboys were ... "Wait to you see Killzone running" ... sure a fantastic looking game,
better than anything we've already seen on XB1, no-way. Now the fanboys are saying, "Wait for the Sony exclusives" so now they have moved the goal posts some what.

And lets not forget, in a few articles just before Christmas it was said, Sony put a lot of demand on developers for games to run at 1080/60fps, Microsoft basically said, just make the game run smoothly and why some games on PS4 have looked slightly better,
a lot have run smoother on XB1 and I know this from playing on both consoles.

Please don't think I'm bashing the PS4, if it has the games you want I highly recommend it to anyone, for anyone thinking it's a major leap from XB1 is in for a rude shock.

Getting back to Wolfstein, ok 1080/60 on XB1, when it's released though and we hear reports it suffers from frame rate problems, I for one will be saying "Wish they stuck to 720/900" ..

 

Its late im at work, so nothing thought provoking from me,but i agree i never asked or cared what res my 360 games were before buying.

 

I have to agree, 1080 means very little to me but then again my TV is about as old as a HD TV can get so I'm not exactly what you would call a 'best quality hunter'. The way I see it, this game would be just as much enjoyable had it not of been 1080.

 

A 10 hours FPS running at 1080p/60fps,big deal....

Forza 5 do that since november 22nd 2013,on Xbox one.

It's not exactly that simple when it comes to developing games, though. Just because one game does it doesn't mean another can or even should. It ultimately boils down to the technology being used and what the engine was designed to do.

It's great that Wolfenstein will be equal on both consoles, but it also doesn't appear to be a very technically powerful game, either, so it's not hugely surprising news. As for Battlefield 4 it's running on 720p on the Xbox One, and still struggles to hold
a steady 60fps. Given that the Xbox One isn't as easy to develop for we should see more 1080p titles coming, running at 60fps.

However, it is dissapointing that tech such as the Xbox One and PS4 struggle to run games at a resolution which is now viewed as standard. I absolutely understand why many people feel annoyed by that, given the cost.

Me, I'll take a stead 60FPS any day, even if if it means a lower resolution, especially in something fast like Titanfall, which looks like it may very well be hitting 900p at launch.

 

We may not see 1080 on titanfall because its a new company using an older engine from what I've read. The next installment though. I could be wrong. Bf4 new engine allowed it to do so much and look so good.
