Titanfall update 6 is a disaster so far

I fired the game up and it had already updated to update 6. I tried to play the new 8 Vs. 8 pilot mode, but it just said "Searching...." on the screen for absolutely ages, so I backed out of it. I tried a few different game modes, but they were all the same
- "Searching...." endlessly displaying.

I then disconnected and reconnected to the server and tried again. I got the exact same "Searching....." issue, but after leaving it for just over 5 minutes I connected to a Last Titan Standing lobby.

The first round started and the screen froze for about 10 seconds. I thought the game had crashed, but then it started working OK. We got to 2 rounds each and at the end of the 4th round, the scoreboard came up and stayed on screen for about 3 times longer
than normal, then the game just crashed to the Home screen with no warning.

It's completely unplayable in this state.

Seriously Microsoft, WTF!!!

Titanfall Update 6

The original "Campaign Mode" is now listed inline with the rest of the game modes. If you select it, you'll still get all the ingame audio back & forth radio communications, as well as the storyline cutscenes. You can play it all the way through, and it
will just loop when it gets to the end. However, all of the rewards that were tied to completing campaign levels are now assigned to various player levels. (I'm not sure what those were - I was only partially through campaign when the change happened. One
of the earlier Update Patchnotes has the deets).

 

I'm in the same boat.. Can't get a single map to load. Just sits there "searching".. Nice update...

 

I just noticed this on Twitter from Respawn: -

"We're aware of connectivity issues following the update. We're working on it and it should be improving."

 

Yep, I played about an hour and a half today with 2v2 or 3v3 the whole time, it turned out to be fun, although I would much rather have a full lobby.

 

they should have called this game mode 8v8 Campage. But overall its a cool mode. the map is so quiet with no other distractions now. So all you hear is satchel charges going off and PvP gunfire

 

my prob since the update is that as i go into the game from the lobby it pauses and i can't chose my pilot class ,titan class or burn card . also i think there are faint stripes on the initial screen

 

Connection drops common since release but following the update much worse. Takes ages to find a game, pauses when attempting to select load outs, temporary freezes in game, pause when displaying match results, connection drop after the match and results
not recorded. Really frustrating when completing Regen Challenges!!!!

Noticed that on screen after such a drop on screen it states "if you lose this match it won't score against you".

Respawn are aware of the problem, it appears, but do nothing to fix.

I have 70 up, 20 down ping around 16 so it ain't problems at my end.

For an online game only, Microsoft, EA and Respawn need to prioritise a long overdue fix as it does nothing to promote anything good or positive about their respective companies and commitment to gaming!

 

What's above is true. Respawn has noticed the issue as says said they will send out a patch soon. The only issue is, you can't really do anything about it....
