still have to install the disk....which can take a little time, by the way, whats with the XB1?....I had 5 whole games installed and half my HDD was used up....you'd think M$ would allow for an external HDD to be linked or something

 

I left mine on this morning. Will shut off after awhile anyway. And for those who say buy disc- I usually do. However seeing as this game has no campaign is strictly multiplayer I did not see the point in buying disc. No trading in(usually don't anyway)
and not lending to anyone as again it's only an online shooter.

When quantum break comes out will be great to be playing that on disc and just say Xbox go to titanfall when I want to kill people online.

 

My disc took approx. 20 minutes to load but well worth the wait.

 

this is why discs are better and will always be better. digital is not good at all. stick with disks.

 

Love my digital library, wouldn't go back to disc ever. I think my download took a hour, tops! Not a big deal for me. They really do need to allow the pre-load feature tho.

To put 300 mg into context, the fastest deals available in the UK are "120 mg",

 

Took me 1 hr to download and 0 trips to the store.

The people saying it took 20 minutes are the ones installing the actual disc. Installing an actual physical disc means you don't use your internet at all. So it would indeed only take about 20 minutes to install the physical disc.

Physical disc is always the way to go IMO for the exact reasons in this thread. If the ms servers are slow or if your connection is slow, you cant play the game. If you have the physical disc in hand, you can install and play within 20 minutes.

 

Even with pre-install and physical copy of a game on disc, there is still update(s) at launch which means you'll be waiting for a DL no matter which route you take. Digital DL offers more convenience, while physical copy will install faster, yet be slowed
by update(s) at launch. Catch 22.

 

Far from a catch 22. One person with a physical disc will always be playing before someone that has to download the entire game from online. Massive difference between a small mandatory update, compared to trying to download an ENTIRE game off the ms
server. Huge difference. Again, as you can see by this thread. Seriously not even comparable.

I agree, the DLC speed is horrible on my Fiber connection which is why I buy the Disk.

Sometimes the updates to games are just as bad.. For instance, Dead Rising 3's update was 13gb.. Took two hours to play a game I already had a disc for.

They need to allow pre-download of 90% or something!

 

When it was revealed the there would be no pre-loading thats when I decided to get the disc version. If I could have pre-loaded I would have bought the digital copy.

 

it is kinda a little bit cheaper i dont know how your state taxs work but in mo there is no sales tax on digital goods. if i had went to anystore i would have paid $65-$66 buying on xbox store i paid 59.99 now $5 to 6 bucks isnt alot by any means but if
i can save money or get better deals from places ill do it. also it took me only 30 mins to download the game and it would have took me 40 mins round trip to go to gs and back. but they need to allow per order on there and pre loading also let me play it 12
