Titanfall, should be priced at £25..

I would love for Titanfall to be £25, heck I would love for every game to be priced £25, but that's not going to happen and the way how I justify the price tag of a game is by how many hours I think will be put into the game.
Titanfall looks to be one of those games that I just cannot put down.

 

I played 26 hours on the beta, which was two maps and two game modes..

I did get the game for free really (bundle) but, have to say, for its short comings, its still a fun game

 

same could be said about single player games, why should I pay more than £10 on a game that I would play once maybe twice and it will last all of 6 hours at the most.

Exactly this for me. Sure it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I've already put a lot more time into this than most SP titles and people don't complain as much about full price SP only titles and how long do they last on average these days.

At the end of the day though, everyone knows it's basically a MP only title, don't like the price, don't buy it, simple.

 

I mentioned the demo for Chromehounds as it was purely 3 levels from the very small SP% of the game, which was basicly training and a way to get some parts for you Hound builds. This, to me, had a negative effect, and put me off purchasing a full price game
that was 99% online only.

A phone call from Metalgearfloppy however, convinced me to go and buy the game, which subsequently came one of my most ever played games untill the servers were shut down.

What im basicly trying to say is, if a game is fun, and you get enjoyment out of it, even if it is mainly an online game, the price shouldnt matter to you.

Im guessing the game isnt what you expected it to be via all the hype surrounding it.

Personnaly, after watching a couple of vids, and a few game clips my pals have shared on the One, I already know its not a game i'd enjoy, if it was i'd be on my to the shops now!

 

Value is subjective. It's silly judging a game's value based on a list of its content. You should judge its value based on how much enjoyment you get out of it.

If you don't enjoy or have the need to play a particular game then it's obviously not going to be worth as much to you compared to someone who does enjoy and really want the game.

If I didn't have any other multiplayer FPS to play, I'd probably be happy to pay £40 for Titanfall. But because I do have other FPS games to play and Titanfall would essentially be a reserve, it's not worth £40 to me.

Cracking game, whether it's SP or MP only makes no difference to what the price should be... it is what it is... that's the game. Nothing to discuss.

 

^ haha, agreed! in fact that's my only complaint - there's too much going on! I keep getting distracted by flying reptiles ripping grunts apart, Spectres going all ninja on friendly AI, giant monsters strolling around the landscape, huge planets looming
in the sky, dropships slamming down here there and everywhere not to mention the Titans!

 

Yeah why should I pay full price for a game that I will get 100's of hours of enjoyment out of as it is only multiplayer, when I can pay the same amount for a single player only game that has an 8 hour campaign that i'll only play through once maybe twice?
As quite clearly that single player only game is more value for my money!

This is an outrage! what are developers thinking? I demand full price games are single player only and should charge a small fee for the multiplayer. I am gonna start a petition, so who's with me?

 

If you payed £40 for this game then you have a bargain. It's easily one of the best games I've ever played. For me Everything about the game is just near on perfect. As for being just an online game then that's fine by me, there's enough single player games
around any way.

 

I'm not even sure why people are moaning it's an online game only anyway.

Like I said before it's nothing new and if you don't like the fact, simple thing to do is don't buy it or even have any interest in it, move on to a different game.

£40 is pretty much a standard price for a new game, if I think it's something I would like then I will be happy to pay that price.

 

I'd say I don't know why people who don't own the game are trying to convince people who do own the game that it's not a game worth owning...

Both awesome games me and friends having so much fun playing this

 

Ok, its a fun game, but it has occasional frame rate drops and screen tearing. I can only imagine V sync was turned of to increase frame rate.

I do believe Respawn have done everything they can to get this game running as smoothly as possible. But one is left wondering if this was released on PS4 just how good would it look and play?

An I have the game, so I'm no fanboy (fanboys don't payout over £400 for a console they don't want).

Its definitely a "NextGen" game, now it just needs next gen graphics and performance.

If you have this game and genuinely honestly say you have never seen any tearing or frame drops then that's a sign to everyone else here not to take you seriously.

 

Problem is, i picked up Shadowrun a few years back and it was empty, no players at all and this is what folk are worried about with this. Regardless of it being a great game or not, if you have no one to play with it makes no difference.
