Titanfall resolution

Funny how nobody cared about resolutions on Xbox 360 but now with the Xbox One people want all games to run in 1080p or they wont buy it.

 

People who purchased the XBO, purchased it because they thought they were getting Next Gen games and graphics.

Sorry to upset you guys but 720p is so 2004.

I will get the game but 720p is not why I went out and got the Xbox One.

 

Who cares about the resolution as long as the game is good fun like i found the beta to be i am happy.

 

All the games I've played on the Xbox One have all looked great, I bought the new console for the games not the resolution.

Lets be honest, most of us have played the beta and knows it looks good and most importantly an enjoyable gaming experience.

 

As I always say, I never buy a game or not judging by review scores but in a few of the reviews today there were comments along the lines of ...

"The first true next gen experience" ... ""Now our next gen purchases can be justified" ...

Sure it's just everyone's own opinion, a few reviews mentioned ... "It's not the best looking next gen game by any means" ...

At least they seem to be focusing on what counts, gameplay and it proves that even for some reviewers you don't need the highest pixel counts to give a game some very high praise.

 

i didn't buy a X1 for the graphics, but i have been pleased with the what i've seen, mostly Ryse and Tomb Raider, which i still think Ryse looks better at 900p than TR at 1080p, but that's just me.

i personally hope people get over this resolution thing so devs can focus more on a next gen experience and less on graphics. the other day i finished a Final Fantasy game and was watching the credits and came to the realization "wow, it took this many people
years to make a game that i finished in a few weeks", so i don't want hyper realistic graphics, that just means more people and more time on a game that could flop.

gameplay>innovation>FPS(mostly just for MP games)>resolution. but again, that's just me.

 

some ppl bought next gen consoles for resolution and game play, some ppl bought it just for game play, graphics and richer environment.

I understand both parties, for those who bought it for the Games, TF is a great example it plays awesome.

For those who wanted high end resolution in the mix, i understand your disappointment, i hope games resolution will get better on X1 otherwise it will be a disappointing platform for those looking at resolution, and from what i have seen it is not a small
number of ppl

 

Can't say I really care all that much about resolution. I feel that the real area where the graphics in Titanfall lack is the textures and details of the environment so first and foremost I'd rather see those tweaked.

BUT, graphics don't matter to me a on a game like this at all. The beta looked great and was one of the most fun games I've played in years. This is what counts for me, after all, I've been gaming for about 12 years now and resolution never hindered my experience
back then.

I think that if we see a sequel to Titanfall it will come at a time when 8/10 games are 1080p as standard and the console has been out for a couple of years. Let's all take note that this is still a new console which is the reasoning for a lot of the lower
res games anyway.

 

Some (or maybe a lot of) people bought a console for graphics performance,really ???!!!!!

They should be aware, consoles will never be the best for it..... "Next gen" consoles will just improve the last gen,no more no less....This is the 8th generation of consoles,it's about time to learn your lesson.....

I'm sorry I didn't click on the link because I don't care about resolution, but if this turns out to be true then I hope the people who care about res have fun. I want a Xbox One because of the games. Yes I want to see graphics
and gameplay improve and the Xbox One has that; Ryse is one of the best, if not the best looking game we have so far and Titanfall is trying new things that have not been done before in a FPS game.

 

The resolution requirements are only going to mean the games look worse. It is a marketing thing and the more that care the more dev's are going to push towards it. In the real world people wouldn't be able to tell which is which from over 3 metres.

In the average home people are going to be hard pushed to know the difference between 720 and 1080p, especially after upscaling. The games for us are going to look far better at 720p, upscaled by hardware with the most detail/enemies they can stick in there.

Hopefully we will continue to not raise the res and sacrifice gameplay for something that offers negligible visual improvement at best.

Ok the last Xbox was acompromisehine sometimes dipping below for cod etc but this is a generation on now guys

And tv's are getting bigger resolutions are getting higher facts !

Bf4 for example benefits greatly fbest higher resolutions not only for far of building clarity but being able to aim properly on a far off target .......

I for one have a 1080p tv and expect 1080 resolutions for best results but sadly I love Xbox .....

There should not be a comprimise we did that last generation for long enough ....

I know if I bought a pc I could achieve 1080 /60fps all day but it's a more time consuming way to game not at all a level playing field!

 

Previous generations were about,new gameplay,open world,more freedom,entertaiment,stories,online, immersive,"simulation",ect.....

This generation can be summaries in 2 words: Native- Upscale....Quite boring when you're a gamer....
